Is this the stock gear ratio for speed sensor on 87 mustang with 5.0?

Will this work on a 96 mustang gt with 4r70w/aode transmission with 3.73 gears?

I know it works for 93 T5 with 3.73. I thought yours used a electric speedo not mechanical one like old mustangs. Go to american muscle. It will let you know
