They work and they are cheap
I have been buying this brand for many months on my TTC journey, having tried different brands and it costing a fortune, and felt it was time I submitted a review as I've bought so many and pored over other's reviews. So many times I've squinted at these tests not sure if I can see a line or not and frustrated when they don't show anything or they showed a hint of what I thought could be one. Finally this month I did one of these alongside a clearblue early detection test and both showed a clear positive of same thickness! And several since the same. Can confirm they do work, have the same sensitivity as the Clearblue, and are wonderfully cheap.

I found these tests to be superior to the fancy solidly plasticised ones you can buy as other brands from shops. For starters, there's the price. So much cheaper that doing a second test to check, didn't feel like I was at risk of breaking the bank. It meant I was also confident enough to *practice* using them, just to make sure - I used 3 first time, to check I was doing it right. I even considered getting my husband to use one, as a control. I also considered doing one in water for the same reason - with so many tests, it didn't really matter. They were delivered quickly and the packet provided some very useful information that wasn't on any of the bigger brands I could buy in the shops. Things like 'let your urine get to room temperature, and the test stick too, before you test' and other bits that I think should be on the more expensive tests as I find it hard to believe they're not doing very similar things. These tests seem in many ways *more* professional than the fancy ones with crosses and lines and all that. They're really simple. The instructions are more detailed and clear. You have enough to play around with if you think you've messed up. There's the fact that you're also not having to try to control your pee *and* your hand so as not to accidentally splash or spray urine onto the wrong part of the test. Then there's the nice familiarity that if you remember doing chromatography in science at school, you'll realise quickly how these tests actually work. I found it so much easier, to pee in a glass anyway. Bit of toilet paper ready to put it down on the floor I'd just pick it up with some fresh, put it on the side of the sink, and wait awhile. I'd leave the test there too, in it's package, go off and do something else for 10 mins, come back, and then do the test. Having so many tests to spare I also did things like retest the same urine a few hours later, just out of curiosity - still got the same result. I appreciated other reviewers that pointed out the double line if pregnant gets more visible. I was actually testing at 3 weeks old. I think I probably could have tested earlier with these though, and still got a positive result. Technically I tested after my period was due, but I still think it could have picked it up earlier than when I was 10 days late. Unfortunately for me though... my pregnancy turned into a complete nightmare. I got Hyperemesis gravidarum *and* a few other complications like bleeding, and in the end even just 5 weeks in, it was starting to put my life (let alone the foetus' development and health) at risk. Week 6, I had to have an abortion. Reason why I'm writing this is just to warn folks that buy things like this on the internet that if you suffer something like a miscarriage (very common: 1 in 5), or a pregnancy that goes molar, or turns out to be falopian, or you suffer as I did and ultimately either way you end up not pregnant and with no baby to show for your ordeal either... that the internet doesn't know what happened to you, and therefore won't stop and think "I won't pester this person for a review about something that's going to reduce her to tears" like a human being might. So I'm writing this, when I only had my abortion a little over a week ago. I'm not going to lie: seeing Amazon prompting me for a review of this product in an email that landed in my inbox this morning, *hurt*. Nearly brought on a river of tears. Just... bear that in mind. There's no guarantees once pregnant things will turn out wonderful... so: If something like being prompted to review a pregnancy test you bought on Amazon the week after you miscarry or have an abortion is something that may reduce you to a blubbery mess for about 4 days... you might want to stick to buying things in the shops. At least then, you can face *people* in your own time.

There are better options out there!
I bought these as it was a much cheaper option than the traditional branded tests which often don't detect pregnancy until later than you might like. The dip sticks they use at the doctor's office are very simplistic and accurate and cost next to nothing, so when I saw this pack with a 10mIU/ml sensitivity (the lower the number, the higher the sensitivity, the sooner you can test) I figured I couldn't go wrong for the price! Unfortunately, these do not seem to be very accurate at all. They didn't detect even a hint of hCG until late enough that I was able to get an accurate result from a Clearblue test, which at 25mIU/mL is not even half as sensitive as these are. Even after the less sensitive test came up positive, these strips barely showed a positive result! Pregnancy tests are one of the few times where 'You get what you pay for' isn't necessarily true. Lateral flow tests are fairly basic technology that are difficult to get wrong except in cases of user error or defective test units. The control line for these tests shows a lovely, vivid line, but the positive result line is so faint at >25mIU/mL that you can barely be sure it's even there — and it wasn't there even slightly in the days preceeding the positive result. This is true of multiple test units and instructions were followed to the tee, so it's unlikely user error was at play. Poor quality materials or assembly, I'd wager. These will do in a pinch if you bought a pricey brand name test and you want to verify a positive, or if you've had a few false negatives and want to cheaply repeat the tests over a few weeks, but if you need a very accurate test for pressing reasons, you might do yourself a favour and give these a miss.

Legit tests
My GP UK confirmed these are legit tests. They detected the hormone level in my urine from implantation but showed through incredibly faint lines. I did get a mixture of positives and negatives but this could have been time of the day and how dilute my urine was. I have now confirmed the pregnancy with the GP.

Not 100% trustworthy
I have been pregnant 3 times and have used these in my pregnancies and they've been fine, even picking up the pregnancies before my period was due. As soon as I've gotten a line I've followed up with another brand and got a more clear and obvious line, but these have done the job in alerting me to being pregnant. When I had a loss I used these to track my hcg back down. They worked a treat. I have heard negative things but never had an issue. I used these again this cycle and straight away I got a positive line, I kept testing again and again (which is the beauty of these tests, they're cheap so if you want to test repeatedly then they're ideal) and each time I was getting a positive line, although I was having a hard time believing I was pregnant. Among these positives I was getting the odd negative here and there. Using my first morning urine I was getting negatives but faint lines by the afternoon. I switched brands and every single one was negative. I left it a few more days and I was getting negatives consistently, then today another positive line. I am not pregnant, and I'm so disappointed that these tests have been inaccurate as I now can never trust them again as I used to. What I will say is this. If you want cheap pregnancy tests that can, and in my experience will, detect hcg, and you want to test many times without the expense, especially if you're tracking hcg up or down, then these are great. But if you get a second line, take it with a pinch of salt and double check it with another brand. If you feel that seeing a positive result and then later finding out you're not pregnant is going to be damaging to you or your mental health, then avoid these tests because there's a chance (and I believe it's small because I've used these for 5 years with no problems until now) that you might get a false result. In terms of ease of use, I rate them highly, you can take a few tests in your handbag, if you're travelling then it's great as they're so tiny and discreet. Easy to dip for 15 seconds and results appear very quickly and positive results are clear.

Does the job! Just be patient🤞🏽
These pregnancy strips work in the same way as the shop bought ones except they are literally just a strip not all the extra plastic. The only difference in the way you use them is that you wee into a pot first and then dip the strip in, instead of weeing directly onto a plastic stick. These strips have very clear instructions on how to use and clearly explains what a positive/negative result looks like. Mine tested positive first time with two very clear lines! .. at the time I was already 8-9 weeks. I was pleased I could test as many times as I wanted as I had 15 strips for only a few pounds! Such good value for money compared to shop bought £10-£20 a go! I think what a lot of the negative comments refer to is that they are not as accurate/sensitive reading results before a period is due .. I purchased again a few years later and have used these recently for another pregnancy and tested many times over the last few months.. (again you don’t mind how many times you test for such good value) normally I have had just one clear line and absolutely nothing else.. then a period a few days later so that confirmed that!! .. Two weeks ago I tested just before I was due on and got a negative result.. a few days later still no period so I tested again and got a VERY faint line on the ‘test line’ but after a few minutes.. Next day, another test and an ever so slightly stronger line.. I’ve waited another week so it’s been nearly 7 weeks since my last period and tested this morning to get an instant result of two dark lines. (See pic) In all fairness it depends on each woman’s HCG level.. and how far along you are.. everyone is different. Good luck.

Lots of false readings
Iv brought these 7 times - I’m an avid tester as early pregnancy feels the same as due on for me and when I get a negative, my period usually follows. However the last 2 batches have shown a really faint positive on numerous occasions. I do not believe I am pregnant and the recent batches have made me not want to continue getting these because of the faint lines that even google lense say is positive when I am not. These little strips have shown me 5 pregnancies so I did think highly of them previously but iv never had this amount of false positives before
