Another vote for 'the best'
It's not often I'm lost for words when it comes to hair products, but that's usually because I'm so critical of all the poor offerings out there. One of the joys of Amazon is being able to read the experiences of users - particularly for something that you can't just judge on a store shelf (unless you're reeled in by fancy packaging and words).I'm going to lay the law down now; this is simply the best hair product that I've ever used. Not just good, nor slightly better than other offerings, but 'the best'. Unlike other offerings, it has the ability to actually calm my naturally straight and thick hair - two attributes that are notoriously troublesome when it comes to styling, and have caused me a great deal of annoyance over the years.Prior to using Matte Separation, I relied on the 'Fudge' Matte Head (the one in the short orange tub) and although it adds a natural look to your hair, it's what you may call a 'weighty' product and can easily feel like you have lard on your head. The reason why Matte Separation ticks all the right boxes is because it retains you hairs natural colour whilst allowing you to add a sense of volume and texture, and all without the typical shine you get from other waxes. As alternative to the more controlled look you'll get from this wax, I also reccommend Schwaz... schwarz (I can never spell it) 'Got2Be' range which also offers a none-shine natural look, but with the added effect of making you hair look and feel as if it's just been towel dried from a dip in the sea. If only I was a beach bum and not a bus bum...Judging by the amount of other positive reviews, you have no reason to hold back from making a purchase!

Highly recommended.
I honestly love this wax. I've used it for many years and it's the only one I would use. That being said, there are a few drawbacks which I will cover after I review the positives.Positives:The wax offers a good hold which I can restyle throughout the day if necessary. The wax doesn't seem to have a negative/overpowering smell, which is always a plus.A little goes a long way.IT'S MATTE! This was absolutely crucial because I hated the greasy, shiny look. Now, the more you apply, the more shiny/greasy it does appear but you'll soon realise from trial and error that you don't actually require much of this wax in your hair.Negatives:My wax has lasted a long time, but over time the wax has hardened up and it is more difficult to scoop out of the container. If left open accidentally, the wax will dry out very quickly and turn rock solid.Fairly difficult to wash out. Need to thoroughly shampoo if you want to get rid of all the stickiness/hold from your hair.Tips:After my long usage of this product, I have found some tips I'd like to share on getting the most out of this product.1) Start off with a LITTLE amount of wax. Do NOT overdo it, because it is impossible to get out afterwards.2) Get a little wax on your fingers, and rub your hands together until you can see no white streaks of wax left on your hands (my hands usually feel warm after I do this)3) Start applying near the back of your head. This makes it easier to hide any over applications. You can slowly rub the wax in from back to front.4) Add additional layers of wax if needed.Considering the pros and cons, I would award this product 4.5 stars if there was an option. But that being said, I highly recommend it and if you're looking for a matte style wax, look no further. Give this product a try.

A workable wax that is hard to beat - a staple product for your hair-care regime!
The 'Bed Head' brand is fast becoming my favourite choice for hair care and styling products. My first experience with the company was when I got my hair cut professionally for the first time as a 16 year old teenage lad. Ever since then, the coconut fragrance has had me hooked, though the price that salons sell the products at can sometimes lead me to cheaper brands in the interim. Thanks to Amazon, all or most of the 'Bed Head' products are available much cheaper at the click of a button.Regarding this re-workable wax product from the 'For Men' range, I would most certainly recommend to guys who have slightly finer hair than others. I, personally, have very fine and thin hair (which I get from my mother - thanks very much mum!) and I require a wax that holds my hair in place throughout the day. This wax certainly does that and only a small amount is needed, in most cases, to get the job done. It has the staple 'Bed Head' scent and doesn't leave a greasy residue like so many other waxes on the market. In fact, I would say that it works in much the same way as texturising paste, and is easily washed/rinsed out.Now that I have tried Tigi's re-workable wax, I will certainly be adding it to my top ten list of hair-care products, probably alternating it between the firm-hold gel and the 'Hard To Get' texturising paste. It most certainly is a great buy, especially when comparing it with others in-store, and it will last you quite a long time (I had mine for a good three and a half months).

Excellent!
I have a fairly short, messy on top style.I've been using GHD Matte wax for years now. Unfortunately I discovered it's now been discontinued, so i began my search for an alternative. I tried a number of different products, none of which i was satisfied with.I read some reviews on here and decided to purchase some Tigi Bed Head. It's fantastic! Gives a brilliant hold, lots of separation and you can re-work your style easily. I've tried some hair waxes that make the hair dry and fluffy, others that look too greasy. This is just the perfect balance, you can tell it's on but it adds to the style. You can also still run your hands through your hair without them getting stuck (which is what i found with American Crew Fiber)I would definitely recommend this hair wax, it's the best I've tried and very good value for money.
