I love this henna!
Please read this review carefully as I added highlights instead of doing the whole head* For a while I've been wanting to put ginger tones on my already bleached hair (not a full head of bleach) but I didn't want to damage it with conventional dyes and they don't ever last very long. So I recently came across Henna powder and I am very happy with the results! I mixed the powder up with apple cider vinegar and left it over night for the colour to release. I found that I didn't have to use much of the powder, which means that 100g will last me a while. I'd say I used about 30g the first time I did it and 20g the next time, I applied it as if I was putting in highlights with a highlighter brush which didn't create much mess. The first time I did it I left the henna on for 2 hours and it went a really vibrant orange. 2 weeks later, the colour had faded a bit in parts but was still a nice light golden-orange colour. The second time I did it, which was a few days ago (see pictures, it's a bit more orange in person), it turned out a really nice colour and I left it for 1 hour and a half. Because I have oily hair type, I can't wash my hair once a week or use conditioner, I try to wash it twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. the less you wash your hair the longer the colour lasts of course. I also find that washing it with lukewarm-cold water stops the colour from fading. I highly recommend this henna because the quality is fantastic and it hasn't damaged my hair. I don't blow dry my hair and I wouldn't ever bleach my hair over the bits that were already bleached so my hair was in good condition prior to using henna. If you only add highlights to your hair it's less messy and is easier to touch up again!

Good Henna!
For some reason my local health food & toiletries shop has stopped stocking henna, so I hunted around for an alternative. This is twice the price of my old stuff, but it is certified organic, so thought I would give it a go. I usually use 1.5 packs for my mid length hair so bought 2 packs. On opening the pack I could see this was going to be colourful stuff! I did my usual method and mixed it to a paste with boiling water to about the consistency of hummus, starting with just one pack. However as I mixed it I realised this henna has a super smooth texture, and added more water to create a looser paste, I then added a few tablespoons of olive oil and let it cool. The henna went on smoothly and as the consistency was looser, and I used just one pack for my whole head with a wee bit left over. I have dark hair and just like a good ginger-y tint, so left it on for just over 90mins (I have found if I leave henna on overnight I tend to get a deep, dark red finish, but my preference is for the lighter copper/ginger) The henna washed out easily with generous applications of conditioner, and was super-bright! It did stain my scalp a bit more than the old stuff, but no doubt after a couple washes this will be gone. So overall, very happy with this product and would not hesitate to recommend!

Reliable quality
This is my regular henna. I wouldn’t buy from anywhere else now. Always reliable, no dye failures as has happened with other brands. I mix with apple cider vinegar for excellent dye development.

but I found this far superior and will be using this from now on
I was using Lush Henna in Rouge but wasn't experiencing that much tint to my hair and my hair felt dry and brittle after each use. I thought this might be down to my dark brown and very curly hair, but after using this Henna just once I was receiving so many compliments on the colour and condition of my hair. My hair is glossy with a lovely tone of Auburn and soft and conditioned. I mixed the henna with half water and half fresh squeezed lemon juice and left it on for roughly three hours after letting it sit in an airing cupboard for dye release as per included instructions. My hair is just below shoulder length and one sachet was enough. I think you would need more for longer hair than mine. Lush Henna was cheaper in that one purchase equaled three applications for the same length of hair, but I found this far superior and will be using this from now on.

lovely hair henna
okay so i was skeptical when i first prepared this henna. i reallllly wanted to dye my hair because i’m currently growing it out from a pixie (it’s under chin length now) but i didn’t want the chemicals. my hair is naturally level 6 dark brown. i prepared a strand test henna and left it for 3 1/2 hours in the bowl covered with cling film, but couldn’t see any dye release and i thought maybe i got an old or bad batch. i contacted It’s Pure who were super helpful and quick to respond and gave me some tips, so I did the strand test on my hair and left it on for 3 hours, it made a subtle but lovely difference! I thought what the hell and did it all over my hair which was surprisingly easy and wow!!!!! the colour is so gorgeous and my hair is SO SOFT! I highly recommend It’s Pure henna! A few tips: Always use aloe vera powder! I use 1 tsp for 100g henna. Use a splash of lemon juice Leave henna to ‘cure’ overnight! You’ll see the dye release on the top and you’ll know it’s ready.

Great quality henna
The henna worked much better than I expected, the colour was lovely and rich, and it covered my greys really well, they came out a more coppery colour whereas my brown hair turned auburn. I added warm water to make a yogurt-like consistency, added a little distilled vinegar to the mix and waited about 20 mins before applying. I left the dye on for about 2.5 hours. It takes a few days for the colour to develop fully, it deepened over a few days and appeared much richer.

High quality Henna that gives beautiful results
I wanted to switch from using chemical red hair dye to a kinder way to colour my hair; having done some research and read the reviews for this product I ordered it. Arrived very quickly with very comprehensive and easy to follow instructions which also recommends a great website where you can download a free 16 pg pdf download all about henna which I found very useful. I am delighted with the way my hair has turned out. I had approx 1cm root growth of dark blonde and the rest of my was a faded bright red. I did a strand test which came out great but I was a bit apprehensive that there might be a mismatch between the roots and the chemically coloured hair. I need not have worried, the coverage is perfectly even and my hair is soft and shiny. Be mindful that everyone's hair is different but I wanted to state this because if anyone has chemically coloured hair and is looking to switch, give it a go providing you follow the instructions and do a bit of research. I had also heard from various sites that henna can slightly relax the curl in hair. Well let me reassure you that this did not happen to my naturally curly hair. I will definitely be purchasing from this seller again. This is a high quality product and worth every penny.

Not an intense colour so won’t cover my greys properly , I prefer other brands...
I have been using henna in my hair for more than 10 years. I only use pure henna without additives, but I a experience less grey coverage with this brand... I much prefer Henna Cat, or the Henna Guys, than this one. The release is not strong enough, and instead of a deep colour I get a brassy orange that shows in my many grey hairs! I follow the instructions thoroughly. Today I used Henna Cat and he difference is very noticeable, even with my hair still wet I can already see the colour is much deeper and intense. A friend of mine used Its Pure herbal brown powder and it also didn’t cover all her greys...
