Coffee break
Yes, I DO love it! My old coffee maker, in use for some years, still worked well. It too was cream finish, but it had a brushed aluminium jug, which I always wished was glass. The jug was poorly designed, due to a spout that was so shallow that if it wasn't held in exactly the right position, it spilled coffee over the worktop or onto the floor when being poured. I finally got fed up with it, and since I prefer glass jugs anyway, thought I'd treat myself to a new one. This Russell Hobbs looked handsome, and has a glass jug, too, so I bought it. I love it. Brilliant spout on the jug, which requires no special angling to pour properly, additional functions of timer, 2-4 cup quantity brew, if you're only making for a couple of people, a lovely digital clock with illuminated blue background - everything as advertised. BUT, the advertised description left out the fine, red circular illumination around the bottom of the item…and that is the cream on MY coffee machine! But it is also useful, because as it approaches the 40 minute time during which it brews and keeps the coffee hot, just before it switches off so as not to stew the brew, the red light flashes, to draw your attention to the fact that it is about to switch off. How good is that? If you are brewing fresh coffee, you really don't want it stewed when you go back for another cup. My old machine didn't have the automatic switch off, and my second cup was frequently stewed. Now my coffee tastes as it should, and if you find it's been switched off for too long, you can reheat your next cup in the microwave, without having to drink it stewed. No filter bags required, easy to wash nylon filter, easy to clean jug, and I am VERY glad I bought it.

Morning godsend
This coffee maker is one of the best that I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Great styling combined with a sensible use of rugged materials gives the product a high quality feel.Preparing the device is simple - simply open the top, place either your paper filter (size 4!) or the reusable one supplied with the machine, add your coffee, close the lid and start the machine.Very quiet operation indeed compared to others on the market, and the shower method of wetting the coffee grounds seems to give a more rounded flavour without as much bitterness.Cleaning is simple - most parts come out and can be dishwashed. Oh and the timer function is a godsend for those early morning starts - coming downstairs to the smell of freshly brewed Java is simply a delight, and the keep warm function buys you time in case getting out of bed was a little harder that morning!!

Good quality and price - good appearance and works well.
This is an initial review after a few days of use. I will do a further one in due course....Firstly, I give 4 stars rather than 5 due to its slightly plasticky construction but overall it looks good, is not too bulky and represents good value for money.I looks quite stylish, despite the plastic appearance close up. Set up is easy and intuitive. Initially, I ran through plain water to clean it. Then I did 4 or 5 experiments over a couple of days to get the strength of the brew right. I would add more coffee than they recommend (they say one scoop per cup) but then I like my coffee strong. Obviously, this depends on your taste and also the type of coffee roast you have. You have an option of stronger brew (a separate button) which brews the coffee more slowly, though it's still fast overall. I set this option all the time. The hotplate works well and switches off after 30 minutes which is fine for me.So far, I have found that this works well and produces decent coffee, quite quickly (about 5 mins) and a good temperature. So far, so good. In my experience, sub-£100 coffee machines tend to last about 3 years, so we'll see.

Fantastic
We had out last one for 30 years and only replaced because the carafe broke and it was going to be about the same price to replace. This wee machine is fantastic, we use it to make filtered coffee and keep our espresso warm in the jug on weekends, to make our cappuccino's. Delivery was very swift and it looks fantastic in our kitchen. The value for money was great.

Loved this machine till the coffee pot broke
Nothing bad to say about this, would have gotten another but was out of stock the time my pot broke. The timer is excellent, easy to clean, brews lovely coffee, no complaints.Seller was great, fast delivery, shame they couldn't send me a replacement pot as I would have loved to keep using it.

Pretty and functional percolator
This is a great little (relatively) coffee machine. I wanted a small one because of limited space and also I am the only one drinking coffee at home.Easy to use, pretty to look at and makes nice hot coffee. In a few weeks of use I have no complaints. I set it up at night with the easy timer and I have hot coffee in the morning. In fact when I wake up I can already smell the coffee coming from the kitchen, nice!Coffee keeps warm for a refill and you can see that by the light around the base, which blinks when "keep warm" function is about to expire.Little spoon tuck in on the side, not really useful, I just put it away in a drawer as I grind coffee each time.Reusable filter means no need for paper filters, but if you insist on those it is possible to fit them in.

Great machine, only built to last 1 year
We had to have a replacement after 1 year as the clock kept defaulting back to midday for no known reason, they replaced it with no issues but another year on and we are having exactly the same issue!! Very frustrating - it's a great machine but it appears only built to last 1 year...

Excellent value, reliable, and great coffee result!
Great value for money, this has been a mainstay of our breakfasts since purchased. Keep warm function is excellent for that second cup, and no worries about it being left on, for it turns off after 30 minutes.I like the option to slow down the percolation for a more intense flavour. You can also pull out the jug before it has finished 'perking' if you are desperate for that first cup, and the machine will prevent it dripping through until you replace the jug (but return it within a few seconds). Not too noisy, and a nice clear clock on the front,The lid of the jug can be removed to enable you to put both jug and lid into the dishwasher. Removeable filter, but I always use a recycled paper filter for ease of removing the coffee grounds.

Deshalb leider retoure.
