Is it possible to run with just one bulb in ie as just a downlighter?

Yes. Ours aren't up yet but looking at them, as both ends are sealed with glass and a seal there is no need to put a bulb in both ends. You can mount them either way as they are symmetrical. The top and bottom sections unscrew from the middle section.

Do they have a setting to only turn on at night?

the model with the PIR does come on during night time.

Hi, I already have a light fitted in the place I want this one to go. Would it be as simple as switching them over?

As far as wiring is concerned yes, you may or may not have an earth wire, I do not so I cut that one back out of the way. Mounting holes probably won’t be the same, unless you are very lucky.

Do you have to buy a certain bulb for the mood lighting? Or is there some kind of remote with the light?

The lights only take GU10 bulbs I know they do a cool and warm bulb if you shop around you should get different coloured bulbs, but they have too be GU10 s hope this helps
