Easy to fit 1/4" Plastic Isolation Valve
I needed to replace an isolation tap on a 1/4" plastic line to a fridge. The original one is a brass one, which I though would last forever, but that is connected directly to the copper piping and given where it is it would have been a problem to replace. With this is was a quick snip of the plastic line (obviously turn the water off first and then make sure you have turned a tap on so that the pressure is released, and then try draining water out of your fridge) just ensure that you cut the ends square, not at an angle. Push the ends in, put the clips in place and check that it doesn't leak. It is a very easy peace of plumbing and so far this is working fine for me (lets me isolate the water flow so I can replace the external water filters that my fridge uses).

This tap is satisfyingly stiff to turn, knowing that when it's off, it's off. It's connected up fine with the hose from my Samsung fridge and is nice and accessible, saving me having to move the fridge to turn the water off to change the water filter.
