Amazing product, larger cuff for bigger upper arms, omron app to track your readings for 2 different users
We previously owned an older version of Omron's blood pressure device and were super happy but decided to upgrade as we gave the older / simpler version (no Bluetooth connection and older upper arm cuff design) to my grandma. I have low blood pressure and my partner has high blood pressure and so having this at home is quite crucial for us to get an accurate result. The product itself comes in a nice little zipped up bag to protect it, which I quite liked. The arm cuff has a new design which means you can place it on your upper arm in any way you want and it'll still give you a good reading. The older models had a metal piece to righten the cuff and required for the cable to be at a certain position. This cuff is also much larger than with other models, so great for people with bigger upper arms. Omron has an app that you can download to your phone and connect with this device to track your readings over time. I've been using this device on a daily basis and it works really well and hasn't had any connection issues. It comes with a switch for two users. Quite handy when two people use it. If you forget to transfer the data of your most recent reading, it keeps it saved and you can transfer it at a later time. Also very handy for when you forget to track it or don't have your phone near you. Now, one of my favourite features is that it tells you when your reading is above / below normal range. Lots of people don't actually know what's considered high or low so this makes you aware with an orange light next to your reading. Whilst we're both having enough issues with our blood pressure to be aware of the normal ranges, other people may not be and so this is a great feature.

Good quality and great with the app
I brought this machine to replace an older (Boots) one that was excellent, but which I had had for at least 20 years. I'd had an unhappy experience of a nephrology consultant questioning the veracity of my own readings - implying that I could have just made them up! Thus, I wanted a machine that would send the reading to an app so that their accuracy could not be challenged. This machine is a little more expensive than many, but it feels really well made and it works great with the phone app or online - from which readings can be printed off or emailed. I am really happy with it albeit that I have only had it for one week. The sleeve is much easier to put on than my old machine and getting it in the right place is very straight forward. Also it shows if the sleeve is correctly positioned which my old machine did not.My average readings have been slightly higher than my old machine, though still within safe levels, but there was a suspicion that the old machine was reading a tad low - especially on the diastolic - so, whilst it is hard to be sure which was the more accurate (hence I leave that response unanswered), on the evidence it is much more likely to be the new machine! It feels right. All in all, superb.

Brilliant Monitor.
Bought this on a flash deal as it was one that I was already considering buying and was happy to pay £15 more than I eventually paid.I love the idea that you can integrate it with a mobile phone app and view the results at any time, IE with your doctor? I was recently diagnosed with Angina and have been monitoring my BP for several months with a BP monitor that I have had for years, but it's seen better days. It was seemingly giving accurate enough results compared to my doctors, but only had a 10 result memory which IMO isn't really enough to keep a long term results record. This monitor has a lot more, plus the added bonus of 2 different user selections. The addition of the integration to an App means that as long as I sync the results up ever time I take my BP, the memory should be infinite within the app. Another function that I particularly wanted was the irregular heartbeat detector. So far, thankfully, it hasn't detected any abnormality but it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it IMO. The cuff that goes around your arm is semi rigid, which gives a professional appearance and is more like the ones used by healthcare professionals than a chemist "own brand" monitor has (my previous monitor). It fits around your arm and the surplus grips to itself with hook and loop tape (velcro type) and has an indicator to tell you if it is situated correctly on the screen of the monitor. The only thing I find unusual is the fact that it seems that you need to sync every individual result with your app, and that once synced it automatically turns off, meaning that every time you want to test, you need to turn it back on and start again. My old one stayed on after testing with a separate start button. It's a small gripe, and one I'm happy to tolerate because of it's advantages. Overall I'm delighted I bought this monitor. Thanks for reading :)
