I was lucky that this fitted my existing basic brick fronted fireplace without the metal surround. The measurements looked good but the 3D VIEW worried me and it is not accurate. The side panels they show are meant to be the surround along the sides and top. This is completely removable by undoing several screws to leave just the basic innards at the back. I levelled the unit with a couple of old 2p pieces under the front metal plate behind the removable plastic basket. I love the look of the actual fireplace especially the removable bowl shaped basket front. The flame effect is very good. You can’t expect perfection in this scenario but I think it’s as good as it gets and better than my waving ribbons which I thought were OK in another fire I used to have. A little imagination is a good thing. I probably won’t use the fan heater as I bought it primarily for looks and effects. Just need to hide the mains lead a bit now and find a nice wooden lintel, if I can find one that fits. Really pleased with it!

It’s an attractive fire. I prefer the log effect to coal effect. Easy to set up, just lift from the box and plug in. Slimline so it does not occupy the whole fireplace. Despite being a 2000watt I would say it does not have great heating capacity. Maybe in a smaller room it would be fine. The flames at the back are very fast and distracting, slightly slower would be more natural. Also the controls, are next to the fan heater, so they get very hot. Not ideal when you want to switch the heat off.

Lovely fire. Easy . Unpack and plug in. Hypnotic flame effect. Silent... so glad I went for it. 👍

Really pleased , easy to install, looks just like a real log fire even the logs light up . Heat is really good . Definitely worth the money . Highly recommend .

Very effective looking fire and going value for the money

came on time, and was well packaged, but as the heading says not as described, as it says in the Product Description, the fire requires 2x 60W SES GE long life bulbs, so when i orderd this fire, i got a 6 pack of them bulbs , as have have a fire like this before ,i know the bulbs blow very often, so they cost me £8;30, only to find the fire does not require 2x 60W SES GE long life bulbs..! it has a fixed LED strip light, so if they blow have to have it repeard rather than replace bulbs, it should state this before i buy, as i checked this fact, so that the reason i only give 3 stars, plus i now have 6 replacement bulbs that don't fit anything else in my flat, the fire itself is ok, but a lot more noisey than my old one, we will see how long the strip light last, as won't use fire , (to loud) so feel like at £168, iv's just bought an expensive light, with no way to replace any bulbs, so over all not to happy with this item.
