What a fantastic idea. I did have one of the wire cake cutters but found it clumsy and the wire snapped, hence replacement needed. I will say that when you put these on a standard length knife it shortens the blade significantly however, I've found a solution. I bought long hacksaw blades, attached the cake levellers and used these to cut the cakes. Great little gadgets - very happy with them indeed.

This is such a cleaver little gaget.I wanted something to help me slice through cakes evenly without being to big and cumbersome as some of the gagets are.It is small and compact and measures very well either side of the cake to slice evenly and cleanly (must ensure you have a very Sharpe knife though, but that goes without saying ) 😆.It fits away into any drawer or wherever you wish to store it, as it doesn't take up hardly any room.Very easy to clean and the picture is exactly like the two cutters you receive.I haven't tried it on bread yet, but there is no reason that the slices should not be accurate on either side.I would highly recommend this.

They dont grip the knife very weak, when u start to cut they fall off, waste of time

Ok but the small springs that hold the inside bit are a bit poor. When it's not attached to my knife it is usually in 2 pieces and I have to put it back together to use it. I also find that it's range of heights is quite poor and I have resorted to using books on either side of my cakes to be able to raise it up to suit

These seemed like a great idea at the time, but unless you have a knife that is longer than 12", I really see much point in this product. I bought this to level large cakes with, but it is not suitable for this use. I thought it would be easy to buy a long knife, but it really isn't unless you want to spend loads. I ended up buying an 18" leveller which works perfectly and I would highly recommend.So unless you make tiny cakes, or like to cut your freshly made bread sideways, this product is a bit of a waste of time in my opinion.

Great little things, very simple but very effective as long as you have a long knife. Much handier to use than most cake levellers. Not sure how long they will last but they are so cheap will just buy more.

I was very happy with this purchase. I've only used it once but I was impressed by how easy it was to use. I didn’t use all the layers as I was doing a birthday cake. Started off at layer 2 and then layer 4. Perfect for this birthday cake. I’m looking forward to doing a multi layer cake with all the slices.
