Nice smooth tone for such a small amp
Nice smooth tone for such a small amp, and a loooot of sound out of it. Very versatile room practise amp. Plastic, but neat build and well finished. You expect small, but when I opened the box it was still a surprise how compact it is. Batteries are included, which was nice. The gain, volume, tone, EQ and Delay buttons play tight and smooth. The clean tones are very nice and stay clean at pretty high volume. The clean channel sounds better than the overdrive. Set the clean tone channel to mid/high gain and it renders a nice bluesy crunchy sound. The delay is a smart addition, takes the dryness out of the sound: set it at high frequency, and you get a practise substitute for reverb. The Fly 3 also makes a fine desk speaker for your mp3/computer. The mp3 playback volume is not affected by the volume switch, though. I just wish there was a volume switch for the mp3 input. Very good amp for my purpose (travel), I can play quite a while without getting bored by the sound. This is not a toy, although it will fit in a toiletry bag, together with the Black Star 311739 Fly 3 Power Supply (which I also bought: It's fine but quite overpriced). So very happy about this amp so far - I will re-post if issues come up.

Great little practice amp and tiny! Recommended.
Great little amp for practice. The clean channel is excellent and with the delay you can can some good clean and crunch tones going. The overdrive channel is a bit harsh, but roll of the high end on your guitar and it’s ok for rock and blues stuff. It doesn’t really cut it for high gain metal tones. The ISF EQ6 isn’t much good. You get very bright to bright but can’t really get a warmer sound. Use your guitars controls for this and you’ll be fine. Volume wise it packs some grunt for a plastic box that’s about the size of a packet of crispbreads. Great for small jam sessions with your mates and practicing in small rooms. Responds well to your playing. Dig in on the clean channel for a nice Bluesy crunch. I’m really impressed and might even add the extension cab you can get which doubles the output to 6 watts. I’ve iwned quite a few amps over the years for practice but this is brilliant for its size. Give one a go if you need a small portable amp that can run on batteries and sounds pretty good. Only gripe is that you don’t f=get a power supply. I’d have happily paid an extra fiver to have one in the box.

really good practice amp
Fantastic little amp, well built and quality finishing (what you would expect from a full size amp. The six battery capacity gives hours of cordless playing Loadsa output - overdrive/Gain volume/EQ/Delay versatile sound output without adding effects to it. Clean sound excellent - Delay very good and good range of adjustment, OD has a significant crunch when the gains banged up... but like most speakers the OD/distortion not brilliant with low volume(find I have to bang the volume on the guitar to full then adjust to suit on the amp. This can be a bit of a problem if your practising and not wanting to disturb people around you, but then again I've never found an amp that does like OD/distortion at low volumes Only down point is the power supply plug socket size, smaller than conventional effects power cable size. This means can't daisy chain with my multi power output till I can find a cable to fit(had to purchase Blackstar power unit at a further £12 cost) Adding the high price for the amp and then the further £12 this made it a very expensive amp - why I dropped a star

Small size, big sound.
An amp this small has no right to sound this good. I have used it with single coil pickups, filtertrons and humbuckers and all sound great. The clean sound has clarity and depth, especially when enhanced with the in built delays effect. The OD effect is OK but using the gain to get more of a crunch sound is really good. The emulated out works well so recording with it into an audio interface is great. I have also used it with some OD pedals and it works really well. As it is battery powered there is no mains hum which if just what I wanted it for. So overall absolutely brilliant as a practice amp or for recording using a computer and DAW,

Small but packs a good sound
When I opened the box and saw the size of it I thought, na that's not going to be any good. But boy was I wrong! Absolutely brilliant and throws out some sound. Don't get me wrong, I'm only a beginner, and players with more experience may disagree, but I personally think it's brilliant for practicing at home instead of warming up my fender amp. Would definitely recommend. I suggest paying the extra for the electric connector too.

Really good, portable amp for a reasonable price
I was concerned about getting an appropriate amp, as I wanted one that wouldn't take up much space or be too loud. This one is perfect for what I needed. It's extremely portable, both due to its size and being battery powered, which makes it particularly easy to store. I found it easy to set up and the sound quality is really good which was surprising given the size. However, I have been using it for indoor practise, I can't comment on what the sound quality is like for professional use. I particularly like that there is a headphone jack to use the amp with headphones, or to attach a device so that you can play along with actual songs. I do wish that it came with the plug as standard so that battery use could be saved for times when it's necessary but you can purchase the plug separately which I haven't yet looked in to.

Great portable practice amp
Great tone from this wonderful practice amp. Put backing tracks through and earphone option . Batteries last for aged.

Nice acoustic quality.
Lovely addition to my acoustic setup. That may sound odd, but in certain small venues my acoustic guitar needs a small kick to cut through. This amp does it with ease without sacrificing quality. Maybe ‘Bluetooth’ rather than mp3 input would be a little more helpful, as these days some mobile phones seem to have stopped using headphone output.
