I have tried many pods over the years ranging from plain awful to very good. Caffe Borbone coffee is a level way above very good. It is truly excellent. I have only tried the Blue and Black blends, both are great. The flavour is the best I've had. Is there a downside? Yes...For some reason the flow from the Nespresso compatible pods isn't great. Very often the coffee splatters and comes out very slowly. Sometimes the coffee hardly comes out at all. When it works it's great but it amazes me how a company can shoot themselves in the foot by going to all the hard work of producing great coffee only to get the easy part so wrong. Come on, please improve the quality of the pods. I've seen other reviewers mention this so it's nothing new but it seems like the company aren't concerned which is a shame. It's still, for me, the best coffee out there though. It's worth trying but don't be surprised by the pods. Sometimes they work fine so maybe you'll get a lucky batch!

I love the taste of these, have (and will continue to) use and try other brands and flavours, but this is my 'daily go-to'. I am using these with a 'Nespresso Essenza Mini' and have never had any technical issues (I have used around 400 of these pods so far). I wished there was a better way of keeping the coffee fresh, other than using these little pouches as they are not environmentally friendly as far as I can tell. However opening them and getting this distinctly fragrant smell of coffee always puts a smile on my face. There was a high delivery charge around the time the Brexit came into effect and I stopped using these as with the delivery charge I found the product too expensive overall. However, I now find these are back to the pre-Brexit delivery arrangements (100 capsules at under £19.- and with free Amazon Prime delivery) so am happy to enjoying the Borbone brand again.

I was recommended these by an Italian friend (Blue Blend), and have purchased several times since. Personally, i'm not sure they are worth the new price hike. I like to have a variety of different coffees, and having to store 100 capsules, all individually wrapped takes up quite a bit of space, so I would like a smaller quantity. That said, I like the taste and at least I know I'm well stocked!

Lovely and smooth

At the time of my relocation from Naples (Italy) to UK, I was very concerned about the choice of the coffee. In the past, I always used the Moka, but I found difficult to find good quality coffee powder in UK. I found instead that Nespresso-compatible capsules were available on Amazon UK, and I did not think twice to buy them. The quality of coffee is very high. I cannot say that the espresso from these capsules is comparable with that bought in the good bar of Naples, but it is the best I could get among all the available options. Each capsule comes in a pressurised aluminium envelope that, upon aperture, release a very nice smell of coffee. The coffee prepared through the Borbone capsule is also creamy, as expected by a Neapolitan espresso. The taste of the coffee is strong but is not as intense as the coffee prepared through the Moka machine. I personally prefer these capsules to the Nespresso ones (less strong, less creamy and more expensive than the Borbone), and to the Lory (less strong, less creamy than the Borbone). I have not tried other brands of coffee pods. The shipping arrives always on time, but I would like a subscription system as available on Amazon.it. As a final remark, I bought several boxes of 100 capsules, and I found that only 3-4 capsules were not working perfectly in my Nespresso Machine (the machine kept stopping the coffee flow, due to the capsule).

As an Italian living in London, I’ve been on the hunt for a coffee that feels like home, and Caffè Borbone’s Blue Blend was my go-to for a while. The flavor is really solid—rich, balanced, and satisfying, just like a proper espresso should be. The aroma that fills the kitchen when I brew it always makes my morning. It was a real treat, and I loved starting my day with it. But, here’s the thing… over time, I’ve started noticing some issues that have become a bit too hard to ignore. First, the plastic wrapping around each individual capsule is just too much. I care about the environment, and honestly, it’s a bit of a turn-off. The packaging just feels wasteful, especially since there’s already a plastic capsule inside. Now, for the bigger problem. The quality of the capsules has really gone down. At first, everything worked perfectly with my Nespresso Inissia, but now it’s a struggle. The water has trouble going through the capsules, and after just 3 cups, my machine gets stuck, with water collecting in the pot instead of brewing more coffee. What’s worse is that even though my machine is calibrated for espresso, I now have to press the button twice for each coffee to get a decent shot. And for the record, I’m Italian, so I know what a proper espresso should be! I know it’s not just my machine, though. I’ve talked to a few friends who use the same capsules, and they’ve been having the exact same problems. They’ve even switched to a different brand because of it. So, it’s definitely an issue with the capsules, not the machine. At this point, I’m seriously considering switching brands. It’s a shame because the taste was great, but with the packaging issues and the decline in quality, I’m not sure it’s worth it anymore.

Acquisto periodicamente queste capsule Borbone Miscela Blu per la mia macchina Nespresso e sono diventate ormai una scelta fissa. Il motivo principale è l'ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo: è difficile trovare un caffè in capsule gustoso a questo costo. Il sapore mi piace molto, ha un aroma deciso ma non troppo forte, ideale per la colazione o per la pausa durante la giornata. Tra le varie proposte di Borbone, la Miscela Blu rimane la mia preferita. Non ho mai avuto problemi con la consegna (che è sempre puntuale) né con l'integrità del prodotto: le capsule arrivano sempre perfette e sono totalmente compatibili con la macchinetta Nespresso, senza perdite d'acqua o inceppamenti. Un consiglio: le capsule arrivano impacchettate singolarmente sottovuoto. Anche se occupano leggermente più spazio, vi suggerisco di non commettere il mio errore: una volta le ho scartate tutte insieme per recuperare spazio, ma così perdono fragranza e il caffè risulta meno robusto. Meglio tenerle sigillate fino al momento dell'utilizzo. In sintesi: è una garanzia. Se cercate un caffè gustoso a un prezzo onesto, questa miscela è la soluzione ideale. Continuerò sicuramente ad acquistarlo.

Bardzo szybka dostawa, jednak przy ekspresie Nespresso essenza mini niezle trzeba się nagimnastykować przy wlozeniu prawidlowo kapsulki. Jesli chodzi o smak, próbowalam lepsze ale to jest kwestia indywidualna.

As a true Italian coffee lover, I can say this coffee is very good—rich and full-bodied. I’ll definitely buy it again, as long as the price stays reasonable.
