Very awkward on neck shave
I bought this as I have a left eye problem and so I felt it would help me get my beard symmetrical. However, I still find issues and probably would have to use an eyebrow pencil to make sure I could shave it properly. The shaving of the beard was so hard for me that I eventually just shaved it to stubble and then tried to use the device to design it a bit.The worst part was the neck as you have to hold the device at an angel with the 3 dots under the chin and then shave and then do the other side. I found this difficult and because you have to hold it at an angel you simply can't keep it 100% straight. It is what it is, but I feel at the end of the day it is a perspex template with rubber to stop it slipping and unless you have decent eye sight you are going to make mistakes and have to grow it out again to start again.I gave it a 3 for value for money as I would rather pay to get that barber shave look and with my eyesight that is probably a good idea.I am sure there are people here who are not nearing 50 that will tell me I am talking rubbish and that it gave them an excellent professional look, but I am not one of them.

First time user of Ninga tool
I found these products by accident on Amazon.co.uk, there was a vast range to choose from. I chose Ninga as it look different from the others on offer. I have only begun to use it now for one week, at the beginning it takes a little to get used to the feel of it and how to hold it and how to place it on your neck to get the correct shape, the same on your cheek to get the line that you want your beard show. It is getting easier to use each time I use it, I imagine after a few more wet shaves it will just be my shaving routine, I am very happy with the product, it came very quickly, it looks good in my bathroom and I would recommend anyone to use it, it makes shaving easier and faster.

Kind of....awkward.
The idea is nice. And i saw a lot of videos of people using them. They videos and reviews never explained that it is just...awkward.Awkward to use in general. You kind of have to move it around your face as you shave to keep it flat on all parts of your face. You cant just hold it there and do it all in one nice movement. It takes a few passes from different positions on your face etc. Don't get me started on trying to hand coordinate that feat while looking in a mirror.I would imagine this would be easier to get someone else to do it. Which I might try. But yeh...bit of a faff.

Beard perfection
Tried multiple beard shapers over the years that did reasonably well. The beard ninja is certainly the best one and the main reason is lining up the cheeks and adding a line down from the ear to the jaw, it's very professional in that aspect. As with all beard tools the neck is the most difficult to do. I've had many years to grasp that technique. If you're just learning to do the neck take your time as it will take time to master. I go with two fingers above the adams apple and line the beard template from there.Worth every penny and saves a lot of money going to the barber for a weekly line-up.Bargain buy! Well done to the designer

Shapes-up well
I have tried a couple of templates in the past and found then awkward to use. The Ninja is different - it is a good size; not too thick so it does not snag the trimmer/razor; the right weight; and easy to grip. It also has a number of useful features which make it so usable - notably that it is transparent which really helps with the positioning. It also has a number of helpful marks to help you line-up the template equally on both sides.Very helpful user guides and good communication from the company about despatch and the user guides.Recommended

Easy to use - beard looks good
Bought this beard shaping tool as I had never grown a beard before but my time had come - and I didn't want to mess it up by trimming lower on one side, then the other and then back to the other until there was nothing left. The tool is very simple to use and gives a great solid edge to leave the beard looking sharp.

Awesome Beard Shaper!!
After searching for quite some time for a beard shaper I decided on the Beard Ninja because of its design and different profile options. Well what can I say it didn’t disappoint and after getting used to it, it is perfect! I love all the shape options and measuring guide plus the unique easy to hold design. The added bonus of the user guide and the PDF more comprehensive guide sent after ordering was a massive plus. Thank you Stuart for this superb product!!

Use a barber pencil! Much easier
I was a bit skeptical of this, but decided to try it as my beard was in need of a shape up. My first piece of advice is to use a white barber pencil or eyliner pencil to outline the shape you want. By doing this you don't have to hold the template against your face and try to shave at the same time, it makes it much easier to get symmetrical lines.
