Can I use for splinter removal?

As a joiner of 25+yrs, the easiest way to get rid of any splinter, wood or metal is to submerge the affected area, usually finger in very hot water for a minute or two, then stick it in very cold water straight away for a good 5mins This causes the skin to shrink and basically squeeze the splinter back out exactly the way it went in. No need for tweezers or Stanley blades etc

Can this be used on scar tissue (an infection) in a belly button piercing

It draws out pus etc but if infected I would seek medical advise as that could be very serious if left without antibiotics

how do i use it on a spot?

Dear Olivia,Mix the contents of the pot (a medicine spoon is ideal) and apply the paste to the area to be treated. Cover with a plaster and leave overningt. The Magnesium Sulphate paste draws out infection or splinters in the skin. You may have to repeat the process. It says on the tub do not use on open wounds iv been told to use this by a nurse on a open reoccurring blister is this ok .

Can’t answer that really as keep it at home to put on splinters that I can’t remove, for which it is brilliant. Guess you should go with nursing advice.
