I buy these for someone else and they use the styler every morning with steam. I know they wouldn't change from this make and model. Ideal for refreshing a loose perm or natural curls, or indeed creating new loose curls and ringlets in straight hair, and of course in dealing with bed hair. The steam shot adds extra curling ability and the pull-release is also easy to master. Looking at when I purchased the last one of these, it was 2015. So these seems to last a good 6 years if being used with steam. What breaks is the steam button at the end - the spring goes rusty and the plastic perishes. This is even with emptying the brush of water and hanging it up to let it fully drain each day after use, as well as drying off the steam push button end. But 6+ years is a good life expectancy for an item which in 2022 still costs less than £17, particularly when it is being used every day. Buy this styler first if you're in the market for one. Cheap, reliable, long lasting, easy to operate, and it really does work.

For the price this is very good value. I bought it to replace a gas powered hot brush which broke (again) and I like the fact that I will not have to spend a fortune on gas canisters with this one. This one is easy to use, does not tangle in my shoulder length thick hair and the easy release lever works well to save tangling. Barrel is a good size. The cord swivels as you use it too which is good. I have tried it with and without the steam, with steam curls my hair better and the curl lasts at least one day, the next day hair is less curled but still smooth. The cord is too short so am using it with an extension lead. Overall it works very well, heats up in about 2 minutes. Just a couple of things: it does not have an automatic cutout or off switch, so you need to be very careful to remember to unplug when you've finished. Also I would say it gets very hot compared with the gas one so I am using it for as short a time as possible, about 15 seconds per section, and certainly would not use more than once a week on my hair for fear of drying it out too much. Its important to keep fingers away from the barrel when you are using too, but this is easy enough to do. Overall, glad I chose this one after reading many reviews.

I’m so pleased with this purchase. I don’t get along very well with curling ones as I always end up burning myself and I’m not that keen on the title curls that ones give you. It heated up very quickly and I was able to do my hair without burning either my head or my hands and it gave a really nice natural curl to my shorter hair. Would definitely recommend. The pictures show what I was able to achieve in about five minutes so it will be really handy for me in the mornings just to give my hair a bit of curl. I think it also gives very nice natural looking curls..

I would have given this either 4 or 5 stars as it curls really well ( haven't tried the steam setting yet as couldn't be bothered to wait the 5 minutes for it to heat) but the cord simply isn't long enough for me. If you have your plug fairly close to where you style your hair it will be fine but my plug is about 1m away from my bed where I sit to style etc so for me a bit of a pain but very simple to use - not even an on/off switch and the curls seem to last quite a while so pretty good value.

I have tried many curling tongs and brushes in the past without much success. I thought I'd try this one on a whim. I'm so pleased with it, and so surprised how easy I have found it to use. I have not burned myself and have been able to manage it very well. I am not an expert with electric hair products, but everything about this curler is right for me. Hot enough, but not too hot for my hair, easy to manipulate and results I never thought I would be able to do. I am delighted with this.

I never normally write reviews but this product nearly ruined my daughter’s hair. The instructions are useless and the brush got completely tangled in the front of my daughter’s hair during the first time of using it. Her hair would not unravel from the brush at all so we quickly switched the product off and my husband came to the rescue. After an hour of patience and perseverance he eventually got most of her hair out from the claws of the brush but it was a complete nightmare. We will never ever use this again and will stick with the much easier and safer curling wands. I can see from the reviews that our experience is not unique.

Very poor quality

je cherchais un fer pour améliorer le permanente de ma coiffeuse que je trouvais trop "mamie" pour mon âge je lui avais demandé "bouclé" mes cheveux sont ressortis de la séance frisés crépus sortie de la douche, il suffit d'attendre que les cheveux soient humides pour résoudre le problème même plus tard, avec l'humidificateur, on peut encore se faire une coiffure sympa ne convient pas à des cheveux très courts, le diamètre est moyen gros mais on arrive avec un peu d'astuce à discipliner même des mèches rebelles et courtes il met du temps pour chauffer mais il fait son boulot

I love it. I have always had one of these and mine just wore out! 🥲 This one is just the same. I have very fine hair that is permed so the curling tongs are perfect to finish off or fix any frizzy bits. Woukd t do without it. The plug is not a NZ one but I have an adapter so all is good.
