Great little product!
This is a great little item, and it's already making a difference for me. I've had really bad sinuses and allergies for years and it was getting to the point where I couldn't even breath through my right nostril, yet within a few days of using this once a day my sinuses feel so much clearer and I can actually breath! I haven't used it in a few weeks as I've been so busy so my sinuses feel blocked up again, which just shows how much it worked for me. It was awkward at first as it felt really weird and I swallowed most of the water (!) but I realised I wasn't fully breathing through my mouth, I was actually half breathing through my mouth and nose so half the water went down my throat! But now it's a breeze to do and I definitely recommend it!

So effective.
I bought this product and have been using it for a good month. I fill it up to the writing on the pot and use half or even a quarter of the salt sachet at a time. I use it either once a day or every other day. I use filtered water in the pot.I've had a nasal blocked nose for nearly 20 years. I've always used a nose spray. I tried a prescription steroid one from the doctor too but it had no positive effect on me.After the first go at this product i could tell my nose felt more clearer. I still get a blocked nose at some point in the day, and i'm using my nose spray. But i'm using it less than i usually do. I tend to use the pot in the evening, then it gives me a really clear nose so i can have a great night sleep.I'm really pleased with this product, the more i use it the better i feel and can breathe and smell so much easier now.I look forward to doing it as i know it's going to clear my passages. As it came from USA it did take about 3/4 weeks to arrive to the UK,and the box was a bit battered but the item was undamaged inside.

A bit overpriced, but a good product.
This worked well for me. The amount of rubbish that came out of my nose was insane, I'd been suffering from a head cold for 2 weeks and this cleared it up nicely after only a couple of uses. The sensation of using this product is not as bad as you'd think. I accidently swallowed some of the liquid to start with, but it's quite safe as it's basically salt water (NOT table salt, don't make your own with table salt!)As the instructions state, be safe with usage by boiling water for at least 5 minutes, or filtering through at least 0.2 microns.A bit overpriced, but a good product.

Goodbye to nasal sprays
This is one amazing product. I have suffered with rhinitis for several years and have been using a steroid nasal spray on and off for 18 months. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, I found that if I didn't use the spray my nasal passages would just become congested, but prolonged use obliterated my sense of smell, made my nose bleed and, after a dose of antibiotics for a sinus infection, gave me oral thrush.Desperate for something that would relieve the congestion without the side effects of prolonged steroid medication, I decided to try the Neti Pot. Within a few days, I could breathe through my nose, my sense of smell returned, the nasal bleeding stopped and I didn't miss the burning bitter taste of steroids at the back of my throat. I used it once a day for about two weeks and now find that I can get away with using it every 2-3 days without any real return of symptoms.I was afraid I would not like the sensation of pouring fluid up my nose, and nervous about infection, but it is quite easy to use and not as bad as you imagine. I find half a sachet of saline per nostril is enough. it can be tricky at first trying to resist the urge to swallow when you feel water up your nose but it is not an unpleasant experience. It goes wrong occasionally: sometimes it trickles down the throat, and sometimes it runs down your face, but minor issues. If you swallow a bit, it's only salt water; it just disrupts the flow a bit!The biggest problem I have had is that I live in an extremely hard water area. Boiled tap water develops a particulate scum on it which I was not happy about putting up my nose. Sterile water or saline was going to be too expensive to use regularly, but I eventually found that supermarket brand value mineral water does the job - sterilised, of course, and at 17p for 2 litres lasts a few days and is cost effective. It takes a little bit of forward planning but I have a routine now. I know how much water I need, boil it for 4 mins in a pan, rinse the pot with the hot water, leave the rest to cool for 30 mins, dissolve the saline and do the nasal rinse, and finally rinse the pot with the remaining boiled water.Anyone fed up with endless steroid use would be well advised to give this a try. I cannot rate it highly enough.
