Very easy to wire when replacing a damaged plug or building a new cord. Cord clamp can handle a wide range of wire sizes from 18/3 up to 10/3. Not the least expensive option but why take chances on questionable quality when dealing with 120v. Get this plug, a proven quality item.

Ease of set up

Very strong, industrial grade connector. Made of very tough nylon. The body of the plug will definitely not break from stepping on it or running over it with a wheelbarrow. It'll take a car to break it. Super easy to install because it is well designed. The strain relief is bomb proof. I have several of these in my wood shop and they're great. I really can't say enough good things about the Leviton black-and-white connectors, they're the best. The matching female connector for this is the 5269-C.

These are easy to use and make your own extension cords. The screws hold the wires tight. A ground plug is a necessity for safety and functionality, this has the prong for that. They are durable enough to with stand some harsh use in an outdoor lighting as long as you keep them enclosed in a plastic zip lock bag. The size makes it easy to build your own cords, they are lite weight, but heavy enough to do the job. I use them in my outdoor blowups and lights for the holidays.

This is solid equipment. Wiring system design and function is first rate. Easy to be sure to get good wire engagement and clamping. Accommodates really heavy gauge....I put this on 10g or maybe it's 8ga stranded 0.65" OD free surplus wire I had laying around and got it to work, but it wouldn't likely work for heavier wire, not that anyone would do that anyway. But I'd like 1/8" more space between the back of the wire connection assembly and the strain relief just to make it work better with heavier wire. Yeah, they're not going to retool for such a request...just note that with heavy less flexible wire, assembly will be much more difficult.
