The Hobbit Thorin Oakenshield Collectors Figure

I am very happy with this product, the likeness to Richard Armitage is very good, and the figure itself is fairly good quality-the price was fantastic (only £3!). I had considered the slightly cheaper version of this figure and am glad i decided to get the more expensive one-the extra detail is well worth the money. I like how the 2 swords each had a sheath and the weapon detail was very good. The detachable 'oaken-shield' is a great touch.The only criticism i have on this product is that the weapons are a little flimsy so would snap very easily if bent and that the hands of the model are not shaped to hold either of the swords,this was a disappointment as the picture on the packaging clearly showed the figure holding a sword in each hand.Overall a fantastic product for the money and would consider buying the other figures in this collection

As a big fan of the Hobbit films I had to start a collection of the figures. Thorin is the leader of the company and the heir to the throne they set out to win back. This figure is the "Collectors Figure" and comes in a bigger box and the figure itself is bigger than the action figures. At over 5 inches tall, the figure looks very impressive, just like Thorin in the films and is made with great detail and had many moving parts. He comes with his wooden shield on his left forearm, a sword to fit in his belt holder and a 3 inch sword in a scabbard. For the collectors out there, the item arrived very well packaged and the card was in perfect condition

I tend to collect action figures/dolls of my favourite characters and this is not a bad one for the collection. It is reasonably priced at £9.99 The figure comes with two swords and the overall look of it is much better than the slightly cheaper alternative that is priced at £7.99I would not recommend giving the toy to small children as the swords are quite small. Mine won't be coming out of the box. Bears enough of a passing resemblance to Richard Armitage to keep the fans happy enough too.

Bought for my 10 year old son, who is a Tolkein fan. He seemed slightly disappointed that some of the limbs move, as this apparently makes it an "action figure", but overall he was extremely pleased with it. It seems sturdy and is more attractive than some modern plastic toys.

Bought this toy for a birthday present. Arrived damaged and opened!
