Purchased for use with Skype when working from home. It's plugged in to the USB port on my monitor, which is then connected to the MacBook via Thunderbolt. Initially the camera wasn't detected, but after a about 10 to 15 seconds it happily appeared. I was very disappointed while testing (in FaceTime) as the video quality was incredibly poor and nowhere near the quality of the built in camera. However, this seems to be an issue with FaceTime as both Skype and PhotoBooth give a very different result. In the latter two, the video image is crystal clear and much better than I expected for the 15.99 purchase price. In fact given the light levels in my study, this is actually better than the built in camera. The auto focus seems to work well once you've got it manually set first. The front and back of the base are both adjustable (as it's designed to fit on top of a monitor) and the tilt and rotation on the camera allow for it to sit neatly under my monitor and be very comfortable during use. I was a little concerned buying a brand I'd not heard of, but this was a good purchase.

Bought to enhance my daughter's lap top camera so that we could see our new grand daughter more easily on Skype. Better than moving around the lap top. The flexibility of having it's own stand as opposed to mounting it on the lap top gives a great deal more flexibility of alternating from one subject to another. We (my daughter) are in the early stages of trying this camera but early indications are that it will far surpass the lap top camera. On a slightly negative point the manual focus seems (early days) to lack sharpness Otherwise good product, good price, good results.

I needed a new webcam as my old webcam (of many years) was starting to make the other person think that they're watching an old VHS video :) With a trend for webcams to be made of as much cheap plastic as possible, it was refreshing to find a modern one that is made of metal. It's nicely weighted due to this and so doesn't easily get moved around on the desk, although will also mount on top of a monitor. It does have a nice quality feel to it. Installation was quick and easy. I use Windows 10 and it didn't need a driver installing - Windows automatically found this and set it up within about a minute so pretty easy. A great product and a bargain price too.

The picture quality and the sound was good. On my Windows 10 HP laptop it took forever to install a USB Camera device (and continued saying it was installing the device after it was up and running). The documentation doesn't even mention Windows 10! And the website given in the manual doesn't exist any more (Paplook.cn). BUT THE BIG PROBLEM IS EVERY 20 SECONDS THE DEVICE STOPS TRANSMITTING PICTURE; HAVE TO RESET THE CAMERA CHOICE IN SKYPE OR HANGOUTS TO GET IT TO RETURN...FOR ANOTHER 20 SECONDS. HORRID. GOING BACK ON MONDAY.

Upon initially plugging this in I was satisfied, however when I tried to use this to for a video call on discord - I found it did not work and produced a flickering green screen. This was fixed with a simple driver installation, however this driver is not found on the company's website, and as a result I relied on using Reddit to provide the drivers. Effectively, this is a good product but the customer service is lacking.

I purchased this Web am from Amazon on 01/07/2017. I needed a new webcam when I had a Skype with my brother who is currently working in Romania & it showed up the limitations of my laptop webcam, grainy & fuzzy (it's only 3 years old). It arrived yesterday & was well packaged to prevent any damage in transit. I took it out of the box, plugged it in & the difference was world's apart from my laptop webcam. I Skyped my brother that evening & he was amazed at the difference instead of fuzzy, hardly recognisable faces, they were pin sharp & crisp. This goes to prove you don't have to spend a fortune to invest in quality, at £15, I consider this to be excellent VFM & money well spent especially as I have family and friends dotted around the world.

The only downside is that the stand isn't spring loaded, so it doesn't 'grip' to the top of the monitor, but it's still stable and sits on top of mine quite happily. The plus though, is that it can stand on it's own two feet really well, so if you just wanted it on the table it'd work great! The image quality seems great too, far better than my previous webcam, deals with low light rather well. Plus it's super simple to use, just plug into your USB, it'll install some drivers the first time you use it, and then you're away!

I had never heard of papalook before so I took a chance. It seems to work just fine...no complaints about camera quality, auto focus or picture quality. It's decent enough for the price paid. The only downside is how it clips on to the computer screen - it doesn't feel very sturdy - it's doing a bit of a balancing act - but hasn't fallen off yet, lol.

Muy buena relación calidad/precio, la imagen muy buena, mi hijo está contentísimo haciendo vídeos de YouTube con calidad, el audio es bueno también y se sujeta fácilmente a cualquier monitor, eso si necesita ayuda de la gravedad, en caso contrario habría que usar algún adhesivo doble cara, también queda perfecta posada en la mesa, dispone de un anillo para ajuste del enfoque, no tiene Autofocus, pero quizás sea mejor, para evitar autodesenfoques.

La webcam ha un mini obiettivo che va regolato manualmente e che dà una risoluzione accettabile. Inizialmente si hanno qualche difficoltà nel cercare di capire come fissare la webcam sul pc, ma una volta capito come, diventa molto pratico. Il design è piuttosto ipnotico, mi ritrovo spesso a fissarlo quando sono distratto. Unica cosa non è molto reattivo al movimento, ma potrebbe essere un mio problema di configurazione.

Would be perfect if the auto focus was more receptive, and if it had a notification feature letting you know when it was on...

Da meine bisherige Webcam leider den Geist aufgegeben hat, da das Kabel wohl einer Stelle einen Kabelbruch hat. Natürlich könnte man das auch reparieren mit einer Klemme aber das Ding ist so alt es hat nicht mal Hd-Auflösung. Von daher sah ich bei Amazon mal nach Webcams um, um ehrlich zu sein wurde mir diese Webcam direkt ganz oben angezeigt somit dauerte die Suche nicht lange :D Mir gefiel das Design gut und der Preis lag auch im Rahmen zudem war auch eine Auflösung von 720p an Bord, und auch sehr wichtig die Bewertungen waren im grünen Bereich. Gut fande ich zudem das es keinen Autofokus gibt, da ich es noch von meiner alten noch cam gewohnt war, mich erstmal sich richtig vor der Kamera zu positionieren damit man auch fokussiert beim anderen ankommt. So bestellte ich dann auch die Webcam, zwei Tage später war sie dann auch da. Verpackt ist die Kamera in einer recht schlichten Blauen Schachtel lediglich einige Schriftzüge geben zu verstehen das dort eine Webcam drin ist, die Kamera selber ist nochmal in einer Tüte eingepackt und diese Tüte ist von Pappe umgeben damit die Kamera nicht umher fliegt. Ausgepackt macht die Kamera einen sehr guten Eindruck das Gehäuse ist aus Edelstahl ebenso wie die Halteklammer/Fuß der Kamera, auf der Innenseiten der Klammer befinden sich noch einige Gummi Elemente damit die Kamera relativ rutschfest am Monitor anliegt. Aus Kunststoff ist lediglich der Fokusring an der Linse allerdings mit Chromeoptik, zudem ist der Übergang von Kamera zur Halterung auch aus schwarzen Kunststoff. Das Bild bei Skype der Kamera ist auch sehr gut, das Bild wirkt ziemlich natürlich also keine übermäßige Belichtung oder ähnliches. Alles in allem eine sehr gute Kamera für den Preis, bin absolut zufrieden 5 Sterne!!

Ayant besoin d'une webcam (pour vidéo et live webradio mix) de bonne qualité et sans vouloir me ruiné . Après avoir lu tout les commentaires et une longue hésitation j'ai finalement acheté ce produit : ------------ Tester en live sur ma webradio --- J'AIME ------------------ -Mise en fonction rapide sans le CD (sous Windows 10), -Image: de très bonne qualités .( grâce au réglage via la molette de zoom ).Agréablement surpris . -Son: nickel ( sans forcément être a coté et dans mon cas avec une tour d'ordi très basique ).Ravis vu mon utilisation. -Esthétique en alu brossé , très classe . -Son prix très correct au vu des capacités de cette webcam . -------------------- J'AIME PAS ------------------- -?!?!?!?!?! -Ben désolé mais pour l'instant j'ai pas trouvé de points négatif . Donc je suis très satisfait de ce produit que se soit niveau qualité ou prix,c'est sur il y a surement mieux mais c'est plus cher . je recommande vivement ce produit pour les budgets limité .Et même si ce n'est pas le lieu pour le faire je félicite les équipes d'Amazon pour leur professionnalisme: emballage,envoi,livraison,suivi de commande et service client qui sont toujours dispos:AU TOP ....(Je précise que mon avis est posté sans récompenses ni avantage quelconques) Je voulais en commander une autre , mais le prix est passer de 18€99 a 59€99 , je me demande bien pourquoi
