The sharpener itself has a nice handle that's very easy to hold even when pressing against a surface. I serve in the military and I have multiple knives I use for work, folding, fixed and multi tool, when I've used whet stones in the past it sometimes it'd take awhile to sharpen the blades to how I need them but with this it's a lot easier to use and carry about in my kit. If anything I find the sharpness of the blades much more preferable using this than stones so it's safe to say I've already recommended it to the rest of the blokes I work.

If I'm being perfectly honest, I wasn't expecting a great deal from this sharpener. It seemed far to cheap. I thought the same when it arrived as it seemed fairly lightweight. What a lovely surprise when I actually used it, it really is the best sharpener I've ever owned ! ! I initially tried it on my current set of knives which are decent quality and fairly new. I used the lighter side and they were razor sharp after 3 or 4 strokes through the blades. They were pretty sharp anyway, so I decided to dig out an old set of knives that were super blunt. I'd tried numerous times to restore their sharpness with various devices and methods but they just wouldn't do it. I ran the blunt carving knife through the more aggressive sharpeners first about 5 times. I knew it was working as a fair few shavings of steel were appearing on the worktop. Ran it through the lighter side a few times and tested it. Unbelievably sharp ! ! Best kitchen gadget I've bought in ages, I absolutely love it. Kind of wish I hadn't upgraded my knife set now, I'm pretty sure I could have got another couple of years out of the old ones if I'd had this.

Works well sharpens knives

I have tested this device on all my knives, some repeatedly with excellent results. The secret to excellent results is in the arm action and the pressure applied. My bottom line review of this knife sharpener is that if it is used correctly it gives excellent results time after time. It is well made and the red handle is well designed. I have had no issues with the device slipping on the worktop. The instructions are simple and correct. You don't need much pressure applied when using this, let the device do most of the work. All that is required is even pressure and the correct angle position for the tip of the knife when you pull your arm backwards. Overall this is a well made product that thought has been applied to the manufacture of. It does its job time after time and doesn't disappoint. I am happy to recommend this device for all the reasons I have stated.

Doesn't sharpen particularly well in my experience. There's a little too much dead space between sharpening material access so you'll always be missing at least 1cm of your knife's blade from the handle. Suction pad has never suction Ed (weird question to ask, do they know this fault?) found the ceramin honing section basically did nothing on most knives, shame really. More handy knife sharpeners out there, the hand grip ones seem to work better and more completely. Check out some YouTube videos to find the best product.... This really isn't it.

I bought this product as I have been 'just struggling on' with my numerous blunt knives for quite some time and I finally came to the end of my tether!!! I bought this sharpener particularly because of the amount of good reviews it has. I was not disappointed. The knife sharpener is lightweight and very easy/straightforward to use. I like the design of it It keeps our knives nice and sharp. I havnt really had to use the coarse side as the fine side has sharpened all of the knives just fine and like others have pointed out - it takes a lot of metal off the blade. I couldnt believe I had struggled on so long with my knives being so blunt when a quick use of the sharpener and it cuts straight through food now with barely any effort. Makes my life a lot easier! I would definitely recommend this knife sharpener.

Delivered on time as promised. Although it has a light feel to it , it is sturdily built. The sharpener has a non slip , easy grip handle and two sharpening zones, one coarse and one fine. Having had it for a week I have had the chance to use it on several of my knives. The sharpener is very easy to use and I must say it does an excellent job of sharpeneing my knives, furthermore it is also quick compared to using a knife iron. Well wort the money and highly reccomended.

The knife sharpener is fine i.e. much better than the other 3 languishing in my kitchen drawer. I have sharpened 2 knives so far - only 2 because I didn't want to risk my best knives until I had experimented with the drossy ones! The 2 I have sharpened now have a very nice edge to them and they have been saved from the recycling box. I whip them through the 2nd slot, just once each, before use. I might write again when I have sharpened one of the best knives. They were delivered well within the time frame, well packed and ready to go. Thank you JJL
