I bought these microfiber Gear Floss ropes to clean the axes on my 3D printer, and they work brilliantly. They get into all the small spaces that cloths or wipes can’t reach, and they lift away dust and grease really easily. Makes maintenance so much quicker and cleaner — no mess, no hassle. Great quality, reusable, and surprisingly durable. If you have a 3D printer (or anything with rails or hard-to-reach parts), these are a game changer!

I cannot recommend this enough- I use to clean the z axis threads on 3d printer and the dirt it gets out is incredible. Not the cheapest but so easy to use and the finish is great

The floss works well at cleaning between the cassette cogs but it's expensive for what it is.

I use these on my 3D Bambu P1S printer, to clean the three risers inside the cabinet.

Easy to use, effective at removing dirt and oil from cassette rings, jockey wheels, etc. on the push bike. Can be used many times effectively before having to bin. A bit expensive for what it is, but as it works very well And saves me a lot of time, frustration and other cleaning products I’m happy overall.

A bit expensive maybe but really work well, would definitely buy again. Make cleaning my tightly packed MTB cassette much easier…

Ideal for cleaning between rear cassette cogs, partivularly when used in conjunction with an effective de-greaser.

Worked well to clean and lubricate the x/y/z axis rods and screws in my 3d printer. Especially good for getting into the threads of the long screws, and covering screws that might be tucked away and hard to reach the full length of, saving potential disassembly otherwise.

Works great for axis cleaning of 3d-printers.

Wer regelmäßig wartet oder neu einfetten möchte, kennt das Problem: Mit einem Tuch oder Pinsel kommt man oft nur oberflächlich an die Stangen – vor allem in engen Zwischenräumen oder an schwer erreichbaren Stellen. Die Gear Floss Fäden sind stabil, fusseln nicht und nehmen alten Schmutz, Staub oder Fett zuverlässig auf. Durch ihre Flexibilität lassen sie sich exakt entlang der Gewindegänge führen, ohne zu verkanten. So lässt sich auch festsitzender Dreck gezielt lösen. Besonders hilfreich ist das, bevor man neues Schmierfett (z. B. Super Lube) aufträgt – saubere Vorbereitung ist hier das A und O. Das Reinigungsgerät selbst eignet sich gut für Ketten oder Linearschienen, ist aber in meinem Fall eher zweitrangig – die Gear Floss Fäden allein sind schon das eigentliche Highlight. Sie sind mehrfach verwendbar, wenn man sie sorgfältig auswäscht. Fazit: Für alle, die ihren 3D-Drucker sorgfältig warten wollen, ist das Gear Floss Set eine geniale Hilfe. Gerade bei Gewindestangen, wo Präzision zählt, liefert es perfekte Ergebnisse. Klare Empfehlung für Maker!
