Highly recommended at the price
This is a heavy duty adjustable torque bar, as used in professional garages. It comes in a nicely made plastic box that protects the precision tool, and provides storage for sockets and extension bar. The tool itself is nicely made and feels very substantial, first appearance is that it will last well in the less demanding DIY garage. It is well calibrated and easy to adjust - always remember to slacken off after use to protect the spring. None of the adjustments are particularly smooth, but reassuringly 'positive', I imagine that these will slacken off after a period of use. In essence this is just a large socket wrench, and as such, it is well made. Where the money really goes is in the calibration, and this was the cheapest calibrated wrench that I could find anywhere. Given the low cost, I suspect that it will not be as accurate as more expensive torque wrenches, but well within the realms of the average user who is only looking for something that gives a relative reading within the range loose - medium - tight! Having said that we bought this tool for use on the wheel nuts of at least three different vehicles, with torque settings ranging from 85 to 180, and I am confident that this tool will achieve this within acceptable tolerances. Highly recommended at the price

Cheap, appears sturdy enough. Get one!
I’m giving it four stars purely because I’ve not used it yet. I own a Norbar 1/2” and Halfords (rebranded Norbar) 1/2” torque wrench so I’m not going to rush to grab this cheaper option when working on vehicles at home. This will live in the boot of the car for emergencies, so that the spare wheel can be torqued up to the correct spec without over or under tightening the wheel nuts. For the money it’s a good buy. Probably not going to be as accurate or durable as my others which cost over £100 each so you get what you pay for I guess. If you’re an occasional home mechanic, just building a toolkit, or only need it for a specific job, this will be a good investment.

Big boy torque wrench
I already own two smaller torque wrenches both in 3/8s drive for 3-22nM and 7-110nM, this is a nice addition to the tool box as now I can torque up larger bolts on my vehicle. It's affordable, the adjustment is easy to make - just remember to reset the torque setting to zero after you are finished as if you don't overtime the spring will loose it's strength and your torque wrench will be out of spec with no way to adjust it to be within spec as the mechanism is worn. I like the hard case which is useful for storing and transport.

Going great 4 years later
I have had this for 4 years now and only use it once a year to probably do less than a quarter of rotation to tighten something. So mine still looks good as new as though I received it today. As far as I am concerned, it has performed well. Initially, I needed it to ensure I was tightening car wheels to the correct torque. Then I started doing my own oil servicing so it came in handy there too, although I had to purchase a adapter to reduce the size to fit smaller sockets. The length gives me extra leverage to achieve the level I need and I guess that is by design due to the higher torques that this deals with. With the minimum torque level being 30Nm, I will now have to invest in a 5Nm to 25Nm one next.

Draper Torque Wrench 30357
Draper 30357 Micrometer Adjustment Torque Wrench Purchase this torque wrench and it arrived first class post a day early. This is a robust tool suitable for the amatuer motor mechanic. I purchased it to torque my alloy wheels to the correct setting. The micrometer reading is quite difficult to read but this could be that i am needing a new pair of glasses. It comes in a robust case with full instructions and i would recommend it as a first class tool at a very competitive price compared to the local stores. Thanks again Amazon for a first class product. Signed Ian Allan from kirkcaldy Fife.

Improving accuracy in bike maintenance
While there are obvious advantages in having high tech carbon bikes one problem is that more care is required maintaining them. Whereas in the past, one just tightened bolts to what one thought was a reasonable level, nowadays more accurate torque values are needed. This torque wrench has been used on bottom brackets and cassettes and does the job well. I have not calibrated it carefully, but it sets to about the same value as a friend's wrench when tested against each other (not scientific but reassuring). The wrench comes in an adequate plastic box, and the adjustment mechanism is easy to use. It is extremely good value for money.

1/2” drive torque wrench
Used this straight away for car maintenance. Good size and range for this application. Could be complimented by a smaller wrench and a larger one for those really tight hub nuts. Quality is good, what I’d expect from Draper. Easy to use, but may need to do a bit of maths to convert the settings scale accurately. Make sure you take the tension off when you’ve finished using it to keep the calibration.
