I was in the market for a new kitchen scale for my baking and cooking adventures, and the Salter Arc Digital Kitchen Scales caught my eye. I've heard great things about Salter, and this scale has lived up to the reputation. It's a sleek, no-fuss appliance that has made my time in the kitchen so much more precise and enjoyable. The first thing I love is the design. It's incredibly slim and compact, so it doesn't take up any valuable counter space. I can easily slide it into a kitchen drawer and forget about it until I need it. The clean white finish and the large, clear LCD display make it look very modern and stylish. The functionality is where it truly shines. The "Add & Weigh" function is a complete game-changer for me. I can place my mixing bowl on the scale, press the button to set it to zero, add my flour, then hit the button again to zero it out before adding sugar, and so on. This feature has saved me so much time and, more importantly, so much washing up! It makes measuring multiple ingredients in one bowl a breeze and is perfect for baking recipes that require a lot of precision. The scales are also highly accurate, weighing up to 3kg in 1g increments. Whether I'm measuring a few grams of spices or a larger quantity of flour, I know I can trust the reading. The easy-to-clean platform is also a huge plus, as spills are inevitable in my kitchen! I can't recommend it enough!

Excellent scales, quite basic they do the job. It is compact and lightweight, looks modern. Very good value for money and have had no issues with it thus far.

I bought these to replace scales that i had been using for years, and had started to fail. The positives of these scales are: - Cheap - can't really complain at this price point. - Simple to use - They are not overly complex or complicated - Easy to clean - the surface is mainly black plastic, with no little grooves or small spaces to get full of baking products - Accurate - or at least they seem so. They weigh in 1 gram increments, and seem to measure things accurately. The negatives that i have found - The available area for weighing is OK, but for bigger bowls (Like a stand mixer) it can be tricky to get the bowl on and still see the screen - They are a little wobbly again for bigger bowls. - The buttons don't seem to be consistent - pressing to turn on / off seems to take different lengths of time, and the scale zero / reset (Which is also the power button) can be hit and miss. Overall, for the price, these are a good buy, but they are not a high end product (and perhaps you wouldn't expect that). For the casual baker, these are good. However, as a lockdown baking enthusiast who uses them daily they are a little frustrating and will probably get replaced soon with something a little more expensive.

The scale worked really well at first, until the battery ran out. Opening the battery slot required a really small screwdriver (that we had to buy), and even then, with new batteries, it would only work for a day and then started malfunctioning.

Would be much easier to use if it has the function of going under 0

Depuis quelques années, je n'ai pas de chance avec les balances de cuisine ... et pourtant, je prends toujours de la marque ! Cette fois-ci, j'ai décidé de tester la marque anglaise Salter. Pour l'instant, j'en suis ravie ! Elle est précise, les boutons de commande répondent bien, la tare se fait facilement. Vu que nous faisons pas mal de pâtisserie à la maison, une balance précise est indispensable, j'espère que celle-ci va durer un bon moment ! Seul bémol que j'ai observé sur beaucoup de nouveaux appareils électro-ménagers : j'aimerais un bouton marche-arrêt qui ne soit que pour mettre en route et arrêter l'appareil, maintenant il y a toujours plusieurs fonctions sur chaque bouton, pour que les enfants l'utilisent, c'est beaucoup plus compliqué ... Mais à part cette remarque générale, nous sommes ravis de cette nouvelle balance.
