Does it have a ridge in the bottom?

Not sure what you mean by ridge. There a 3 raised bumps to elevate soap disc. Otherwise the sidewall to the bottom transition is a smooth, 90 degree angle.

What is the bottom inside dimension of the mug?

The bottom ID is 2-3/8” which flares out to top ID of 3-3/4”. There are also three raised 1/2” long indentations (textured) at the bottom which assist in whipping up a lather. Hope this helps. Very nice mug with a classic handle! Cheers

Is this bowl microwave safe?

Actually, this bowl is for soap, not for cooking. I don't know, and it never entered my head to try.
