BT Essentials Wi-Fi Extender 300

Our house is not big enough to ever locate the booster so that the light shows green but it works great even when only functioning at amber level. We had problems with signal dropping out and our mobile data usage was spiralling out of control. Since we located this device on our landing this is no longer a problem and the signal is bounced around the whole house effectively. I have total assurance this device is working because when my one year old helpfully pulls it from the socket the signal reverts to dreadful. I’ll notice the drop off in signal quality, check the landing and sure as eggs are eggs the device has been yanked from the socket. Plug it back in and normal service is resumed. Great device, well worth the money, highly recommend

Needed to extend the wifi signal for my parents from their BT hub to their smart tv in the lounge.The tv was only getting 1 bar signal and was buffering or failing completely when trying to use iplayer etc.I purchased this for them, it was really easy to setup, just plugged it in and it connected to the bt hub within seconds, no messing around logging onto a computer.The range is superb, the tv now receives full 5 bars of signal.Just dont place it too near to the hub to get the best connection.Great value for money and saves alot of time and effort setting up.

Tried to connect via WPS yet it wouldn’t connect and tried in different locations so had to manually set up which was easier than I expected and now works great as well as given me the WiFi extension I required.One issue I have is even though this is a exertion to my WiFi it’s set up as a separate WiFi spot and is laggy when trying to watch films, takes longer to load and on the odd occasion it buffers which I’ve not had for years, this could be down to the fact that it’s not connected via wps but I tried again and it still didn’t connect.All saying the above it’s great and works ok I suppose it’s the fact that I’m so used to switching on to watch films and get them instantly so it’ll be something ill get used to I’m sure? But for the price of this it’s good enough for what I need i.e. tv I. Conservatory / using the mobile on WiFi outside rather than data.

I brought one as the router was too far away from the TV and the walls too thick, plus sharing the signal with others in the old house meant reduced signal effectiveness. It worked perfectly first time.Then had a friend who had brought a TP-Link extender and couldn't get it to work, neither could I. Brought this again for them and it did exactly the same thing, simple and first time. So it's not a one-off, both were brilliant and easy.

It's advertised as being in being in original packaging but mine came in a normal brown box well packaged but just the product. No 😔 instructions so be prepared to tube it to see how you set it up .

As you would expect from BT, this is good looking kit, with good clear installation instructions. After a couple of attempts to get it set up, it worked a treat. One month later, the connection to my router dropped out overnight. I did the installation again, which worked. A couple of days later, it happened again. The connection now drops out every night, which is becoming a pain. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll be replacing it with something of higher performance and reliability.

I bought this device to improve the wi-fi in a room approx 20 metres from the hub. Previously I was getting about 2mbps download and now get around 16mbps there. Also no longer having intermittent disconnections. I set it up near the main hub and then moved it to where I needed a stronger signal. I think that it’s a bargain and I recommend it. Really easy to set up using WPS. Purchased from Amazon and is clearly very new stock.

daughter moved out so moved my cramped working from home desk at foot of my bed downstairs to her old bedroom upstairs. virtually no wifi signal could not log on with laptop or phone. my old wifi extender never really worked well even in adjacent room so thought i would try this, not expensive worth a try. at first i struggled with wps options at first to pair with me router but just held up close and they paired up. as i seemed to struggle with pairing to router i wasnt expecting to work but plugged into room upstairs and had a full stregth signal absolutely brilliant well worth the money
