CRC Food Grade White Grease, 10 Wt Oz, 03038

I'm very sensitive to chemical odors and vapors that linger for months. For example oil, gasoline, grease, WD-40 type lubricants etc. They are not good for your health either. I wanted to find a grease that was odorless and also nontoxic so did a little research and found that "Food Grade" grease was what I needed. There are a few lubrication products on the market from different manufacturers that are food grade but Amazon carried this brand so I ordered it. I'm very happy with this product, it's odorless and since it is registered as a NSF H1 class lubricant it is very safe. I use this on some parts of my car like door hinges, power window rails/rollers, sliding cables etc. Prior to this I used a Gunk White Lithium grease which made my car smell HORRIBLE for months. Keep in mind this is a light duty grease that should not be used where very high temperatures are observed, for example disc brake parts. This grease can be used in and around the home too. It sprays on wet so it is able to penetrate tight spaces but when it dries it becomes a creamy texture. I highly recommend this product for those who are sensitive to chemical odors like myself.

We have a DCS oven with sliding racks. The racks were starting to bind up and not slide evenly and smoothly. This grease fixed the problem. I didn't know what to expect with the spray can and nozzle. It comes out as a liquid and solidifies into a grease immediately upon application. I highly recommend doing this over the sink, or protecting the counter in some way. It did smoke some the first time I used the oven after applying it. Had I known that would happen I would have run the oven for an hour or so to burn it off before baking food the first time. I'm glad it is food safe.. The racks work great now.

The lubrication on my oven hinges had worn out and it was taking a great deal of effort to open the door. This grease sprayed on well with the attached straw applicator with a viscosity that allowed it to penetrate the small spaces between the plates of the hinge. After a few minutes of working the hinges back and forth to distribute the grease, the oven door opens with ease. If using it on an oven, I recommend heat curing it with the empty oven on high for an hour, as it did produce some odor the first time I used the oven. But since then, about two months ago, it has not created an odor and the grease is holding up well.

I expected grease to come out of this aerosol can, but it is a thin liquid--it doesn't drip or run, but it is not like a white lithium grease. For some purposes like where you want a very thin coating of grease, it is probably fine, but I was hoping to take advantage of the convenient applicator (and safety of "Food Grade") to apply it the screw drive of the garage door opener. It is way too thin for this job. So it was my false expectations that made it inadequate for the task. For the record, the best screw-drive lubricant that I have found is Genie Universal Screw Drive Lubricant--good grease, just inconvenient to apply from a small tube.

Heads up when using be sure to wipe off any overspray I missed a few spots it wiped off but not as easy as it would have if I would have paid better attention to the overspray

Worked great. My mixer started squeaking after having it for 7 years. Took it apart and cleaned it up a little and sprayed this on.. no more squeaking!

The product is quite runny but seems to lubricate pretty well. My main issue is the fact the can nozzle leaks everywhere, whether you use the extend the nozzle or spray directly. Not sure if I just got a faulty can or what>>
