I own four of these lights now. I use them for my band lighting when we play in bars and smaller venues. These are fantastic lights! Normally I use spring clamps to clip them to rafters to shine down on us during gigs but when there aren't any rafters you can use the brackets as a floor mount and have them shine up at you. They're light weight, super vibrant, and they don't get hot : ) in not a lighting expert so I'm not sure if this is the right terminology but these lights seem to have a more narrow and bright beam to them. Not light a spot light but also not like a flood. Because the beam is focused they look great shining down on us. The only drawback to this is that one light is only wide enough to shine on one person at let's say maybe 15 feet away so unless your drummer and or bass player is ugly enough to to keep them in the shadows you'll most likely need a light for each band member : ) All in all, I'm giving thes lights five stars. I think the quality is great(I don't take good care of them). You can daisy chain a bunch of them together because each light has an outlet on the back side. I'll continue to buy more of them as cash flow dictates. One more thing, they're kind of cool to have around the house when I'm not gigging. You can light up a tree in the yard at night or just use them to accent certain rooms in the house if you're having a party. I choose to have my lights set to a slow fade cycle instead of a quick strobe setting but that's just me. I hope you buy one or more of these lights. You really won't be disappointed.

it's small and it blast nearly as much as a 250$ colorblast for half the price. Perfect !

I've used several different types of lighting and these are great at what they do. Besides the fact that they are DMX compatible, they are compact, bright, durable, and use SO much less power than conventional par cans. Besides that, they last forever, and they never get hot! Heck, they hardly even get warm. And once you factor in that you don't have to buy gels for them or mess with rigging to change the color, they make up for their seemingly high price. As someone who has performed under stage lights before, I can also tell you that you won't feel like you are under a heat lamp the whole time. And if you are using them with a DMX controller you can create just about any color you can imagine - not just the preset 7 colors available in stand alone mode. This is a great purchase for anyone looking to upgrade their lights or start a new rig.

I use four of these lights permanently mounted in my basement studio/rehearsal space. They are not connected to a controller, just plugged into the outlet and set for a single color. They work really well. A nice amount of light for an indoor space. Lots of features and options for programming (that I don't even use). In general I think Chauvet stuff is pretty cheap (like the el-cheapo stand that came with my 4-Bar system I use for live gigs), but for a situation like this they are working great. I would recommend them. For live gigs and easy portability, however, I'd look at the "4-Bar" system by the same company - it's great, too.

These lights replace some low end RGB lights in a DMX application for me. These lights are solidly constructed with daisy chain power, great responsiveness, and good color mix. They're a major upgrade over the cheap ones I was using for videos in this strange video-from-home period.
