I know there are cheaper coloured pencils out there but having tried them I can say that these are a premium product and deserve the price tag. A quick internet search will show you that Amazon is by far the cheapest way to purchase these pencils. The whole product including the box is top quality and will honestly last a lifetime. You can buy individual pencils so that’s great. I have to commend Amazon who accepted my return of derwent pro colour. I love my faber castel polychromos but only have the half set. Yes the CD are expensive but they’re just so responsive.

Good quality, a great colour range, paper type and quality are strong considerations for best results

This is NOT a review about the pencils - if you buy this box, you should know what you are getting This is about the box. I think this is specific to Luminance wooden boxes. The Pablo box appears to have a poor plastic insert to keep the pencils in the tray. The box is very nice and a beautiful way to store the pencils. I specifically like the foam used to hold the pencils, see pic The clasps look expensive but are actually cheap, time will tell how long they last Not sure why Amazon ask me to rate ‘sheerness’ but I wouldn’t be shocked if they asked me to rate the flavour

Absolutely beautiful box of fantastic pencils. Bought to add to the ones I habe already inc. A fast depleting box of Karisma ( now discontinued). These have really put a smile on my face.
