I've tried all but one flavour and
I will highly recommend all but one. So the caramel, cafe latte, banana and strawberry are all really, REALLY good. I'm struggling to choose a favourite because they are all so delicious and I look forward to them equally. The chocolate...well, look, I'm a huge chocoholic and I've found the taste very bland. I think I preferred Morrisons own brand chocolate shake powder in their slimming range. It is certainly drinkable but I'm not going to buy it again. I haven't tried vanilla as I really don't like the artificial vanilla taste but I may try it at some point.Tips:- Try to use a blender if you can. I use a cheap Breville active blend and it makes it nice and frothy. I haven't used ice because I haven't had it in. It is fine without but I'd imagine it's nicer cooler.- You can use skimmed milk or semi skimmed and top up with water if necessary. I always make them a total of 300ml as opposed to the recommended 250ml but I will half and half if using semi skimmed or just top 50ml up with water if using skimmed. Always tasted great and you get slightly more.- In an attempt to make the chocolate shake richer I added a two teaspoons of cocoa powder (30 calories) which has helped a lot.- A teaspoon of instant coffee in the cafe latte is a great way to make it an actual caffinated frappucino - I believe the existing coffee flavour is just flavouring so it has no caffeine in.- I sometimes have half the amount, four times a day. So instead of two shakes a day I made half the amount with one scoop of powder and have it four times a day. This is good if you're like me and like to eat constantly.Verdict as a weight loss aid:I suppose this is the most important bit really! So I haven't actually weighed myself for the two weeks I've been using yet. I don't like to weigh myself often, it messes with my head. However I struggle to see how I couldn't have lost weight. My calorie intake has dropped from about 3000 per day (I have binge eating disorder) to between 1500-1700 which is great considering I'm obese. I will say that I do not find the shakes to be filling. I've found the idea of them being an entire meal replacement hasn't worked well for me really because I'm so hungry. I have tried to have a shake for lunch and then wait for dinner but I can't, I'm too hungry so I end up having some low calorie snacks, by which point I wonder whether I could have just had a lunch meal...Anyway, even though I don't necessarily like them as a meal replacement, considering I have binge eating disorder, I really like using them when I feel like I want to binge. Nighttime is the worst for me so I normally make half a shake when I feel the urge and then another half later one. 230 calories total is A LOT less than I was consuming over a binge period before so I am finding them to be useful. It helps that they are so delicious... I really don't like the bars (terrible aftertaste of artificial sweetener) so I was worried I wouldn't like these. There is a small plan you're technically supposed to follow which is on the product page (321 plan). I loosely follow this in that I do have one meal a day in the evening aiming for 600 calories and a total of two shakes a day but I tend to just calorie count my remaining snacks rather than having a strict rule of three snacks. I think that the idea of the 321 plan is fantastic, combining meal replacement with actual food is a winner for me. I've tried Cambridge...I know that I cannot remove all food from my life. It's miserable! I love cooking so being able to still have a big meal (600 calories is well enough) as well as some snacks is great. I feel optimistic that I can lose weight for the first time in a very long time, the shakes are helping my BED a lot.The price is great on Amazon. These are £7.50 in my Tesco. That being said they are probably worth even that. They are still a lot cheaper than the bars or food alternatives.

Best thing I’ve ever done!
Been on slimfast for two weeks and lost 6 lb that just wasn’t shifting by any other means. I’ve tried SW in the past and did well on it but it just tires me out thinking what to eat all the time, especially on lockdown...what’s for lunch...what can I snack on..what’s for tea..and all the time trying to make the right choices- it’s exhausting. To give this diet programme a chance, you’ve gotta love milkshakes or you’re not gonna make it. Also the there is really no need to blitz it in a blender. Buy their shaker beaker for a fiver. It’s brilliant and produces a well mixed frothy shake with or without the ice and you can store the powder underneath to take to work. Yes the sippy part of the top is tough to take off but I take the whole top off and drink like a cup.Anyway back to the product...the main problem you’ll have is what flavour to try especially if you’re just starting out. I agree with most of the posts on here and the general consensus is...Chocolate- disappointing, not particularly frothy or chocolately but still worth having.Banana- as you would expect it to taste entirelyStrawberry- again , as you would expectCafe latte - a real treat to have in the mornings, but might be sweet for someCaramel - smooth taste, reminds me of a butterbeer a littleVanilla- a bit plain and seems thinner than the othersI’ve read of some mixes such asCaramel and banana= banoffe pie, I haven’t tried it yet but I can’t wait!Caramel and chocolateVanilla with frozen fruitsAdding real coffee to the latte or to vanillaI was thinking to warm up the chocolate or the coffee ones for a change. Some folk claim it’s expensive, I don’t see how. One tub gives you your breakfast and lunch for 6 days for a fiver, how is that expensive??Some moan about the flavours, I would question their love of milkshakes in the first place.I’ve not experienced any clumping or aftertaste.A typical dayWake up - water and a banana leaving my shake till later in the morning.Snack - three crackers and peanut butter or more fruit.Another shake at lunch.Afternoon- another shakeBefore tea time - piece of fruit or carrot stick or any snack under 100 calories.I’m not calorie counting my tea , I ll just have whatever the family is having but with extra veg and less carbs sometimes but other times I’ll have the rice or pasta portion with the meal.Drink as much water as you can.I’m also doing couch to five k.The shakes fill you for two hours max but if you pan the day out as above you can easy wait for tea. Most days I’m thinking oh I can have my snack now, sometimes I’ve even forgotten to have my second shake. I love the simplicity of it all. My cravings are virtually non existent and my portion size at tea has taken a natural turn to the smaller size.I binged on an Indian one evening and as much as I enjoyed it, I couldn’t wait to get back on the slimfast the next day because I felt , well I dunno, just not right, I wanted to feel light like on the shakes.Best thing I’ve ever done. The weight will go back on when I stop, it will on any diet but this diet is reducing cravings and portions, something SW does not do. In fact they encourage you to eat as much as you want of the right foods of course. I can see my future with this diet. Maybe I ll drop it for a few days then do it for a week and so on. Or maybe I’ll start to have breakfast and shake for lunch or vice versa. That’s no different to the fasting diets.Best thing I’ve ever done.
