| Camera Lens | The SIGMA MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 CANON EF-E is a converter that allows you to use Canon EF lenses on Sony E-mount cameras. It does not have an aperture or focal range like it is not a lens, but a converter. However, it supports autofocus and incorporates the data needed for accurate autofocus with lenses that have optical stabilizers. It is compatible with Sony APS-C and full frame cameras. |

Great on Sony A7iii with Canon glass
Bought this to use my Canon L series lenses on my new Sony A7iii. Happy to say for photography the lens have all given reliable focus in good lighting conditions. In lower light all my lenses hunt and struggle to focus. I can live with this until I get funds to purchase Sony lenses over time. Different story for video, cant use autofocus at all. My lenses are 17-40 F4L, 28-105 F4L, 70-200 F4L. Overall pleased with this adaptor as its letting me use the Sony with my Canon glass for photos and eye tracking works very well. Dont expect 100% accuracy though and it does drop considerably in lower light, and for me forget autofocus in video. (video may be better with a faster lens)

A little pricey for what it is, but works great!
The price is on par with other adaptors... it's still very expensive for what it is... It's some plastic and bits of electronics. But boy does it perform well for me. I have a Sony a6400 and a Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art lens (Canon mount). It does the bridge perfectly. All (as far as I can tell) Sony native features work with the Sigma lens! Eye AF, Focus Peaking. It's really great. It's not very fast with the 18-35 but enough for my needs. I also use it with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM and it works great for stills. It does Eye AF/Face tracking which is my main concern. It doesn't do AF in video however. Overall very happy because I have a perfect platform for my Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 Art lens.

Sigma mc-11 with canon glas
I have the canon 24-105, 35 f2.0 IS and the 85mm all of them works with autofocus in photo mode. tracking works and eye detection. it doesn't track quickly when a target is moving towards you, far from original lens. it does follow and it does it quicker then my old canon 5d mkii. you can use the slowest setting for burst shooting when target is moving then it keeps up. in general the focus is quick. I haven't looked in to the percentage of how many that is good. I have a feeling that it is very high. I don't have many unsharp photos. all in all it is much better focusing then my 5d mkii. For video the lenses doesn't work so well with the features Sony cameras have . there is no autofocus but the IS works very well. and you can use focus peaking or the magnifyer.

Real-Life Babel Fish
I love it when I can get something that is is both extremely useful and very well made. This is the case with the MC-11 from Sigma. Changing camera systems has always been financially prohibitive for me until now. I've invested heavily in Canon, with a 5D4 and multiple L class lenses. The camera and lenses are fantastic (albeit pricey) but the reality is that I'm not as young as I was and having to lug close 4KG of gear everywhere was becoming a bind. And so I switched to Sony mirrorless, and because of this great little gadget I can use all my EF mount lenses on my new E mount body, I can confirm the EF 16-35 L F/4 IS, the EF 20-75 L F/4 IS, the EF 70-200 L F4 IS and the EF 100-400 L F4 ii IS all work fine. This may sound counter-intuitive. Why put huge, heavy, "old-fashioned" Canon DSLR EF lenses on a new Sony E-mount mirrorless body? Well, 1) because you can, 2) the Canon DSLR L class lenses, despite being older and being phased out for the new Canon mirrorless RF equivalents, are optically truly exceptional and being able to use them occasionally or even just until I can get hold of similar Sony lenses, is fantastic, 3) the sunk cost in the Canon lenses is not small, and the second re-sale value has dropped hugely recently - selling them therefore is less attractive, and the thought of shoving them in a cupboard never to be used again is a shame. I've only had the MC-11 short time and done some basic testing, but so far so good. The only "feature" I've noticed so far is that the a7Cii IBIS seems to be deactivated when using the MC-11 with the above lenses, but as each of them has their own lens image stabilisation this is isn't an issue, but it maybe something to check if your EF lenses don't have IS. The fact that this thing exists and works (despite the disclaimer from Sigma about it being compatible only with Sigma EF mount lenses) is a miracle - allowing me to continue using my older lenses and saving a fortune by immediately avoiding by replacing them with the Sony equivalents. It's pricey (there's no glass in it, just fresh air between two mounts), but it's worth it.

Works with Canon lenses, quick Autofocus
I haven't really tried for videos, just once or twice, and the AF for my Canon lenses didn't seem to be working well or at all. However, when shooting stills with the A7iii (latest firmware v3) and latest firmware of the MC-11 installed (1.24), this works very well indeed for all my Canon lenses (EF 40mm f2.8 STM, EF 50mm f1.8 STM, EF 85mm f1.8, EF 100mm f2), and very likely on many others. AF-S and AF-C very responsive, including face detection and eye-AF. Obviously, in terms of smoothness of the AF and motor noise there's really no comparison to a native lens, but I'm more than happy with the purchase.

Not great with Canon lenses
I bought this to use my Canon L lenses with my Sony A7s2 If manual focus is you're thing, then this adapter works fine, allows you to change aperture and IS works too ! However, none of my lenses would autofocus, they were just hunting consistently. I used this with: 24-105 f/4 IS L 16-35 f/4 IS L 400 f/5.6 L 85 f/1.8 USM 50 f/1.8 STM Autofocus was poor on all of the above, however simply mounting did work fine.

レンズはEF24-105F4 IS L、100F2.8 IS Lです。 かなり昔のEF50F1.4は残念ながら、認識したり、認識しなかったりで(認識しないほうが9割)でちょっと残念です。 費用たい価格は十分です。

Very good mount converter of EF mount Selected Sigma lenses on a Sony E mount camera for Photo & Video both. It also supports EF mount Canon Full Frame lenses for photo only but not in video. Also Canon EF mount Crop lenses are not supported for still & Video. Only draw back is it is not weather shield.
