Assembly tips below.
I did not purchase mine from Amazon in the end as there was a mess up and I had to cancel the order however they are exactly the same brand / planter but I wanted to write a review as I'm so pleased with them.We have six of these now, all assembled by myself only. They were delivered flat packed with all the screws included, and pre-drilled holes. It comes with 5 pieces in total (the four sides and the base). There are 8 long screws in total for the sides and a handful of screws for the base.It is a heavy solid wood planter which I did struggle a bit to lift it a distance once assembled on my own, and I would consider myself quite fit. It should be easy enough for most to lift or drag when flat packed as it comes in two separate packs, and if needed you can split the packs and lift each of the 5 pieces separately. I would suggest building it near where you are going to have it, so it can be dragged into place.I found them very easy to assemble with an impact driver the whole thing only fits together one way as it locks into place so as long as you start with the gold Rowlinson badge facing outwards you can't go wrong, I wouldn't fancy screwing them in all by hand though, and I used a rubber mallet to knock the four sides in place before screwing them together. (you will probably need to give it a good whack to slot the sides into place first, if you don't have a rubber mallet, use a normal hammer but use a scrap piece of wood on the face of the planter to hit with the hammer so your not hitting the planter directly with the hammer else you will probably dent it with the force that is needed to bang it in place).I didn't feel the need to stain it, they are pressure treated anyway, and after a few months they weathered to a golden colour anyway.Although water will probably drain from the bottom I did drill holes in the base for extra drainage.I also lined the inside of each planter by stapling heavy duty rubble sacks to the inside all the way round and on the base. (again I drilled a few holes in the sacks to allow for drainage). I then filled them with a compost / building sand / top soil mix. (don't expect to move it very far once it's filled with soil as it's very heavy when full).I would highly recommend lining them as I'm sure they will last longer this way, it may also stop soil and water from seeping out the side, I personally feel it looks a bit neater too.Two years on, they are all looking like new still, no rotting or warping is present, and I fully expect them to last 10+ years.I've attached a few photos, I did add a bit of trellis on the back of two planters as our dogs kept hurdling the planters and squashing the box trees we had in them.I would highly recommend this product, I did at the time cost it out to build them myself from scratch as we needed six of them I thought it may have been a lot cheaper to make myself, but it wasn't and the cost of raw wood from my local building supplier worked out about the same price as buying this compete pack.

Hit and miss but the hits look great
I have three of these now and they have all been a bit hit and miss with quality, certainly two didn’t fit together neatly, there is some overlap in the corners, and the colour of the third was much lighter than the other two so I’ll probably stain all 3. However, once in (either side of front drive) there isn’t a neighbour or passer by that hasn’t commented that they want them too and our next door neighbour is buying two also now.....so I guess that tells you all you need to know. Easy to put together, I did it alone, and does require some drilling and screwing to finish. I nailed the floor in and drilled drainage holes. Each needs just under 150l of soil (leaving space for plant roots/soil) and I also used pebbles and perlite in the mix. Overall satisfied but a shame the quality is so inconsistent.

Easy to assemble, timber good quality, good fit
Bought to house plants and a trellis screen to hide those lovely dustbins! Very easy to assemble, looks good and has lasted without fading since fitting. Although made up of 8 layers of timber, these come pre-assembled as 5 separate pieces (sides, lengths and base), so less work than expected. Mine did fit together well, so fortunate about that. Each piece did need pre-drilling to make it easier to fit screws without damage. Very pleased with results. Heavy once assembled, which is good, but needs some help to move around.

Heavy man!
Have ordered similar in the past from other firms and they turned up ready made and lined to stop earth trickling outMaybe it did say that these were delivered as a flat pack that had to be assembled but it was a heavy job which the packaging said needed two peopleMaybe my fault but I was not aware of this info when I bought themBeing the woman I am (joke) I did it on my ownFirst one went together beautifullySecond was a nightmare as one side would not slip in and I had to chisel the wood to make it go on which was a tedious jobNo lining so used plastic compost bags in areas where earth could slip throughDo they look good yes they look fantasticAre they sturdy yes againJust may have been unlucky with the second oneStill feel for the money they would have been assembled and lined

Over-priced
Went together easily, although isn’t a snug fit and leaves some gaps. I think it’s over-priced at £150, should have been more like £75.

as some reviewers have already stated some fit together easily, others don't
First off be warned, this is Flatpack and you have to put it together yourself, although this is not made clear in the sales blurb for this item. Second, as some reviewers have already stated some fit together easily, others don't; the reason for this I think is because the wood used is not perfectly square (not on mine anyway) but measures 47mm x 45mm, should really be equal. This means if they have put the sides together without ensuring they're all done the same way you often have 2mm out of sync and joints dont then line up properly. Very disappointed for the price, not to mention the headache and issues over delivery which were down to amazons chosen carriers. Have now purchased my own wood at a third of the price and will make my own planters!

Great looking planters, durable, and well built.
Very well built planters, using them in the garden for a bamboo hedge and they look great.Have bought several of these, and they are generally easy enough to set-up. You will need to lift some heavy parts so be ready for that.I would buy some more if they would drop in price a pinch, but nonetheless good value for money compared to other's I've seen.Have had them in the back garden for about 6-9 months, and they are still looking great. Perhaps a little staining or protection might be needed to keep them looking new, but that's to be expected with any outdoor wood.
