It works as it should
I used these to compress car springs to get the top hat off of SUV shocks. Works as intended and seems to be well built. Time will tell for long term durability but initial impressions are positive.One thing to update are the little metal loops on the locking pins. They are just your average key ring loops and will bend right away if you’re not careful. Only design flaw. The locking pin itself works fine.

Strut clamp that's easy to use
I have had several variations of strut spring clamps. This one is easy and safe to use.

And I'd not use them with an impact, but they work and are pretty decent for the money

Got this to repace struts on the wifes car. Works great!

Solid Heavy Duty
Solid heavy duty spring compressor. Had no problems with compressing my coil from the strut. My coil snapped and I used this to compress the coil, rotate it and then unscrewed the compressor so the coil had no load and then used a grinder to cut the cool off. The coil was rubbing on my tire. I was then able to drive my car a short distance to a shop where they replaced my strut. Saved me a tow!

Used on struts for 2016 mazda cx5 and tool worked great. Did with ease. About as big as I would go with this tool as far as size of struts

Used this to replace struts on a suzuki SX4.Did the job, feels sturdy and the locking pins add a bit to the feeling of safety on this sketchy job.Wish I had a 1/2'' driver so I wouldn't have to ratchet this thing.
