NRS Healthcare Super Grip Handle - No fixings needed

First one delivered had a pad that did not stick so returned it. Replacement is very good. Been up three weeks now and as strong as at start. Quality maybe variable.

bought two for 91yr old mother for her bath with mixer tap shower. great length meant only needed one handle and the suction facility meant she could 'play around' with finding the perfect positioning . The warning light facility also gives her peace of mind knowing that it is secure. The rippled handle also aids grip whilst wet in the shower. suction pad section not big and chunky and the white colour makes it all blend in well on the wall. great product and value

Product looked really nice. Video and reviews made me excited to get it as I wanted it for my elderly mother. Unfortunately, it arrived today and spent ages trying to get them to suction and stick to tiles. I just could not get any suction whatsoever on my tiles and they just slipped straight down tiles no matter how many times I tried. I was careful not to put over grout and tiles were dry and clean. Perhaps it was the style of my tiles as they do have a very slight pattern although less so than tiles in the video!. Sadly had to return them as they did not work for me. Shame as they looked really sturdy.

I recently broke my ankle, and am in plaster and unable to put weight on the broken limb. My only shower is over my bath, so I bought a stool suitable to use in the bath  Drive Rotating Bath Stool  - this enables me to back up to the bath on my crutches, sit back on the stool and swing my legs into the bath. (I bought a waterproof "Limbo" cover to wear over the cast in the shower).I was concerned that standing on one leg while showering might leave me likely to over-balance and fall - I saw this NRS Grip handle and based on some of the reviews I decided to buy it and try it.I cleaned the tiles on the wall first, and I have mounted it vertically- so far it has remained in place for 3 weeks. It feels to be firmly mounted, but I use it for general support and balance, I have not applied my full weight to it (I weigh 100kg).I use it as I raise my self up off the stool, and lower myself again - but my main weight is taken by my unbroken leg. During showering I use it to aid my balance.It works well for me and I would recommend it as a temporary or portable device. I think for an elderly or otherwise infirm person in their home bathroom I would prefer to go with something that is fixed in place with screws.I mounted it vertically so that generally the line of force I apply is acting through both cups equally.Like most models of these suction-cup grab rails, there are coloured indicators to show if either of the suction cups is losing seal/grip. On this model I find that the indicators are very obvious and can be seen from a distance, they are on the outside of the "feet". (on some alternatives models they are on the feet but directly below the grab-rail and you have to get close to the device to inspect them)Mine has just this morning indicated that one of the cups is losing grip and needs re-applying - that has been firmly in place for 5-6 weeks up to now, so I am quite impressed by that.I did also buy another make - but I found it does not grip the wall as reliably as the NRS model. This product is sturdy & well-made. It’s quite ingenious how strong it actually is when it’s fundtioning. I have found a problem with keep the clip-grip intact. From the very beginning, on initial application, the left click-grip on this product fails to stay vacuumed for any good length of time. That said, I re-seal it & it’s good to go for an least an hour - long enough to assist me.

I am 36 and have M.S. Bathing is always daunting for me. I normally have to keep my bathroom door open, in case I fall. I used to use the shower screen over the bath, to get in and out the bath; which is dangerous, as the glass could break. I put one of the rails I bought at the side of my bath and was delighted, how easily I can now get out the bath, without needing to yell for my carer!For those of you, who mentioned the the rail falls off, please do what I did. I cleaned the tiles where I wanted to put the rail, using Stardrops. I let the tiles dry and put the rail against the surface of the tile. (If you have textured tiles, the rails won't stick) I Pushed hard against the tiles and pushed the securing levers down. Job done and all in around 10 - 15 mins.I have another at the side of the toilet, to help me stand up and I shall certainly get another one for by my bed. Once again, thankyou for helping me maintain my Independence!

This is a good product but the suction and stability isn’t so good !! It slips and don’t really do what it’s meant to so my elderly mother won’t be using these

I fitted the handle carefully following the instructions and making sure that the flat surfaced tiles were absolutely clean and grease free. The green suction indicators were visible and it seemed firm. Late in the day when I used it one end slipped free. After that it was difficult to refix. Very dubious about relying on it.

Vraiment pratique. cette barre de soutien, permet de rassurer la personne qui a perdu de la stabilité.Il ne faut pas s'appuyer dessus, mais se soutenir.

Good product

A 9 mesi dall'applicazione a parete è ancora pienamente stabile e ben fissato.Ero un poco preocupato per alcune recensioni che lo danno come inaffidabile, io posso dire l'opposto. Sono ventose e quindi devono essere applicate con alcune accortezze:- superficie liscia (le mia piastrelle sono decorate con leggerissimo rilievo ma direi che è ininfluente)- superficie ben pulita con alcool o trielina- verificare che sulla ventosa non vi siano residui di carta di imballo o bavette di lavorazione, lavarla con sapone (non usare sgrassatore che potrebbe essere aggressivo)- Lubrificare leggermente con lubrificante spray al silicone o meglio al teflon (PTFE) i perni quadri che collegano le ventose alle levette azzurre e le stesse levette azzurre nei punti di attrito (sarà molto più facile azionarle)- inumidire leggermente la ventosa e la piastrella prima di applicarla- applicarla esercitando pressione sul maniglione e contemporaneamente azionare le due levette poste sui due padiglioni e creare il vuoto. Prima di azionare le levette, premere sulle levette stesse, ancora sollevate, per fare fuoriuscire più aria possibile dalle ventose.Più lungo spiegarlo che farlo.

Efectivo y fácil de usar. Lo mejor, se puede llevar a cualquier lado, ojo solo se adhiere en cerámicas o superficies lisas

Optisch gefällt mir, das es mal nicht die übliche sattgesehene Metalloptik oder einfarbiges weiß ist. Der Griff hat eine angenehm anfühlende rutschfeste lange Haltefläche. Auf der Innnseite fast man sicher mit den Fingern in die Form von Mulden, wie man sie aucham Autolenkrad findet. Tolle Funktion.Ein Lob das bei der Grifffestigkeit die gesamte Länge ausgenutzt wird.Habe die Fliesen gereinigt und dann den Griff angebracht, hält gleich bombenfest.Die sehr großen Saugnäpfe werden durch die am Bild zu sehenden blauen Kippschalter aktiviert. Die Saugkraft erahnt man schon, wenn man denGriff einfach so in der Hand haltend mal aktiviert. Ich habe mich nicht nur wegen der schönen Farbgestaltung, denn das Auge badet und duscht ja mit ;-) , sondern auch wegen der super Option, diesen Griff auch am seitlichen und ggf oberen Wannenrand anbringen zu können, je nach Bedarf und baulicher Voraussetzung.Bin sehr zufrieden, auch mit dem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Kann ihn nur empfehlen !
