GardmanA01910 Kids Paint Your Own Wild Bird Nest Box - Natural, 17.5 x 11.5 x 18.5 cm

I got this to decorate with my toddler son and it was a nice activity. Maybe a little big for him to do as he got bored. I'd say there isn't enough paint to decorate it all as it was bigger than I expected. Initially seemed really sturdy but after a few rainy weeks one of the walls split into two and a part fell off so not ideal to be outdoors in winter. Also the paint was bright but not washable (understandable as it's for an outdoor decoration but just incase you have toddlers). I couldn't open the red pot and ended up pushing it very hard and it spilled all over my clothes... Had to throw them away 😂 also it looked like I'd been stabbed hahaha.

Product is very well made, could use a little more paint with it though.

Looking forward to painting it. You will need proper paint and varnish if you're planning to use it for the birds. I'm going to stick it on a shelf and attach a purch. I will put seed on the shelf to encourage birds. Will take pictures and update when I've done it. Suitable for small birds like tits. Put up in a safe place where cats can't get to it. I liked this product, it was already assembled and l loved painting it. However, l didn’t use the paints that came with it. They are too small, so l brought some acrylic paint from B and M, they won’t that expensive and it worked wonderfully. I also brought some spray to protect the paint.When l put the box up, l drilled in another piece of wood onto the box it give it more stability and drilled it onto my garage. The hook at the back, won’t stop your box from moving in the wind. I google how to put up bird boxes so that happened a lot.In future l will buy a bird box that you can clean out, but you get what you pay for, and l really wanted a paint my own box. I am super happy with this product and really proud of my achievement!

Box well made with a nice smooth finish. Thought there would not be enough paint as the little pots are tiny but it's well pigmented and there was plenty. Kids had lots of fun painting. Brushes are a bit lame but do the job. Looking forward to putting the painted boxes up in the garden for the birds

Good products, but why are these paint your own items supplied with such tiny pots of paint when intended for young children?

My son has absolutely loved painting these bird boxes. They are I think well made and solid and big enough to be used by smaller birds. I haven't used the pain they came with, but we have painted using acrylic paints and then sprayed with vanish spray to waterproof. We also bought the bird feeders and my son was thrilled when he saw a bird eating from it ! Great value and kept us busy in homeschool/ lockdown times.

didn't think of this before I purchased it but it should include a hook of some kind so it can be hubg on a tree branch or somewhere
