So, we got 30 out of our oyster. Not all big or round, but perfect for putting into necklace cages. Quite impressed to be honest. My fella and I had a blast doing them!! Was surprised there was no smell. Actually relieved!!

Loved this. Great value for money.I've always wanted to try an oyster opening. And I wasn't disappointed. We got 29 pearls and one that was bonded to the shell, looks nice so I don't mind.Came well packaged. Smelled slightly like mud and a little like the beach as to be expected. Not stinky at all.Was easy to open and found the pearls easily. Shell washed up nicely and I will be keeping it.I cleaned the pearls several times in a mix of sugar and washing up liquid to remove the last layer the oyster left on it as this doesn't stick properly and isnt shiny. Now they all look gorgoeus.Beautiful selection with shades of white cream and pink. Various shapes too which are fascinating.My daughters (15&10) enjoyed this too and we talked about how pearls are formed. So good educational tool too.Anyone thinking of trying it, do it. My daughter now wants to buy one!

Such a great and fun anniversary gift for my parents! Only regret was not buying more , pleasantly surprised

Really great product!I bought this as I wanted to make a frame for my parents pearl anniversary and wanted real pearls.Its a little bit gross opening it and it did have a smell but if you aren't screamish it's actually quite interesting to see where the pearls are formed.I actually had 30 pearls in mine all different shapes and sizes which I like they were all beautiful.Really happy with the pearls and ended up being able to clean and use the oyster shell in the frame too!

Saw some bad reviews so was worried about what would come but wow! We were pleasantly surprised, I got this for my wife for Christmas because she loves anything to do with the ocean so I’m pleased she enjoyed the experience of opening and finding her own pearls. Thank you for the memories we will share about this product. To her it was the best gift I ever gave her!

I need the product quality certificate

This is not pretty. I have opened many an oyster pearl and have always been delighted with the result. This is quite a Frankenstein piece, very large, mould on the outside of the shell and although this can't be helped the inside was very 'meaty' and did smell. But the main reason for buying was the pearls, well to be honest they went straight into the bin, each was the same colour as the meaty flesh, dull cream. Not one of about a dozen was nicely formed, most were mushroom shaped with scars where the growth lines were. Even though I rubbed them in salt to take off the membrane they did not develop a sheen like a pearl should. Do not buy these, so disappointed with the result. I have wasted my money so you don't have to.
