No, it's literally just peanuts. It's a great natural peanut butter.

Has anyone detected or tasted any mouldy or rancid or fermented or alcoholic smell or taste to this peanut butter, in any way at any stage?

Absolutely NOT ! Not EVER or with any Biona product. You do get a good arm exercise stirring in the natural oil and it does smell a quit a bit different from all the 'run of the mill' so called Peanut Butter brands.Most if not all of the commercial Brands have added all sorts even sugar ! Plus contain and hydrogenated oils so they are always the same consistency throughout their shelf life ! The BBE date of any I have had, is always long; this last time it is March 2019. That I would consider the norm. I haven't tried the Crunchy yet; they seem to alternate between being eligible for free delivery and not being, so I'll try that next time it is.
