I think the screws provided were a little too long, but I had some shorter self tapping screws that were ideal. Our en suite bathroom opens into a gap between our neighbours house and ours. Wind often catches the Window and pulls it fully open at force. I was concerned that one day we would likely lose it as the wind where we live can be quite ferocious. This feels really sturdy and it feels like it will prevent that from happening. Will check to see what state the mounts are in, but it feels plenty secure enough. For the money definitely a worthwhile investment. Build quality of device seems to be spot on.

Yes these are brilliant, they are just short enough to stop my 3 year old toddler from squeezing her head through the window when it's open, so we can now leave the window open more than just the one notch which doesn't really do the job. Now you can leave it open properly with a nice breeze able to flow through the open gap in my case the gap is about 4 inches, so plenty of room for some good air flow. They are really easy to fit, i got a small drill bit where i pilot holed where the screws were to go in, then used a combi drill to screw in the supplied screws straight into the UPVC frame and it all seems very secure so won't be going anywhere any time soon. Just remember to thread the covers on before you attach them as you'll have to undo the screws and start again if you don't! In total to fit one restrictor it took me four minutes, so it's a very rapid solution to stopping your toddler from falling out of your windows. Obviously not as good as the manufacturers child proof locks/restrictors but these are a very good after market fitment. With the added benefit of having a key lock so you can open the windows fully when the children aren't around.

Looked at a few of these on various sites. This one is strong and well made. The cable is thick and white plastic coated. We have white Windows that are quite new so was reluctant to add anything to them but the colour matches well and they look smart. Easy to install even though there are no instructions just give it some thought first and mock it up in the desired location. I will be buying another one.

Nice and cheap and does the job well. My bedroom window hinge was old and wouldn't stay in position so even the slightest wind would blow it wide open. No way of tightening it so would have involved buying and fitting a new hinge ( or more likely paying someone to do it for me ). This fitted in minutes with self driving screws and means I can safely leave my window a few inches open without worry.

This an excellent lock. I have a bottom opening window which the kids finally learned to open somehow. But it was becoming impossible to sit in this room in the summer without it being really stuffy so I bought one of these window locks. It doesn’t come with instructions but it’s quite straightforward and I came back to look at the pictures on amazon for this item to see which part goes where. The screws were so easy to screw into the UPVC that I didn’t need a drill. I just used my electric screwdriver and that did the trick. I now have a safe window I can open in the summer that the kids can’t open more than the window lock allows. It’s also value for money compared to what you’d find in the shops.

Fitted to a window which is next to a bed to stop the dog from falling out of it. Was easy to fit into the UPVC frame of the window. I have saved the product to buy again for another window if I have to. Just a couple of things/tips to keep in mind when fitting; - Don't press on the plastic covers by mistake or otherwise until fitted, it was a bit of a pain to get them off (use some pins if you do this) - Use a pen through the holes when measuring it up for fixing to make sure that it restricts it as much as you want. - Most important (for me, that is), make sure it is fitted straight. I fitted mine very slightly uneven and although not very noticeable, it bugs me!

Product sufficient fir the job as have previously bought them for other windows . This time though there was a difference in the two packs I bought. One packs correctly had two types of screws, ones for wooden windows and ones for UPVC windows although one UPVC screw was a dud with partial blank head. The other pack only had screws for wood. So I’m essence we had to source three extra screws to be able fit them. Very annoying.

Bought this for my parents back window, easy to install and good quality. Easy unlocks to use window fully.
