Works well. Display is easy to read, registers temperature well. Have not tested this against known temperature in order to determine how accurate this is but see no need to. Can be a little slow reaching higher temperatures but most probes at this price level are like this. The sheath is tad tight but not an issue. Bear in mind this has a limit of 200°c so may not show the correct temperature for hotter cooking oils and such. Honestly really good for the sole simple function it performs and at a decent price point. Would recommend.

Great thermometer. Perfect for measuring temperature of water, which is what I needed. Only thing is I find it a bit difficult to press the on/off button cos its a bit stiff, and holding it till it powers off is a bit hard. But thats totally not a problem since it powers off automatically when not in use. Also, powering on requires only a single press so no biggie. Overall, would recommend this product.

Like some of the other reviewers here i bought this to carry out L8 testing. This thermometer reads temperature fine under running water. You'll need an additional meter for testing TMVs though as this thermometer isn't 100% when placed on pipework. The readout is ok for the price. But difficult to read it you are not looking at it directly and without light as the display doesn't light up. So if you're leaning into a shower cubical or to an awkward cleaners sink its going to be hard to read without a torch and looking at the display directly. Accuracy i cannot fault. This seems to be pretty much on the money for accuracy. Overall its a good basic thermometer. I use it every week for L8 testing with no issues. If im willing to use its readouts for L8 testing then its trustworthy enough.

A vary simple and easy thermometer to use. Simply turn it on and stick it into the thing you want a temperature reading of, whether it’s water, food or some other substance. I even tested it out under my tongue like a doctor’s thermometer just for fun; though probably best not to use it for that last one. The temperature readout is clear and fast. Can be set to Farenheit or Centigrade. Easy to clean, and is waterproof. Has an auto-turn off function to save battery power.

It is supposed to be a meat temperature gauge for safe cooking. As a complete novice at the cooking game, (my wife is in a care home), I need instructions like, how to switch it on for things like pork chops ,loins etc, lamb chops, beef steaks etc. As a complete novice to cooking, instructions are critical, I am fed up with over or under cooked meats. HELP. What are the temperature for the different meats.

The thermometer arrived ahead of the promised delivery date and worked as expected but at a much cheaper price than either B and Q or Screwfix. Only criticism is that I had to remove a bit of excess plastic to get the thermometer to fit into its cover.

As I have only just received this item I have no experince with it at this time. It looks good, does what it says on the instructions, and I am very sold on it.

It initially felt solid and well designed, and seemed accurate. However, I noticed that when I switched it on with the cover on, it showed aberrant readings. After further investigation I discovered that (gently) tapping the tip would provoke wild variations in the readings. So unfortunately, perhaps due to poor construction of the probe, this was unreliable and I returned it.
