Perfect for a Honda CRV
I bought this for my wife's car as it is very useful for adapting into the PC slot of the stereo you get with the Honda CRV for turning the car into a mobile I-Tunes library. With a 32MB card she has loads of her favourite songs to listen to as well as some of the latest kiddy friendly tunes to keep our son happy and the adapter works perfectly to both load music onto the card and also to fit into the car's stereo. I was a bit baffled when we first got the car and how we would be able to essentially link up her Ipod but this product does the same job and with the stereo you now get a perfect library at your finger tips. The quality of the actual adapter is very good and is pretty sturdy which I liked as we had to move to and fro from the car to the computer to set the library up in the first place. I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing it.

Honda CRV music
I bought this CF card adapter following a great deal of research on the CRV owners club site (which had me concerned as it appeared a lot of adapters and cards will not work) and reading the reviews here (which helped me a lot). I ordered the San Disk 2GB Ultra 15 MB/S CF card to go with this adapter. Both arrived on the same day and after a few minutes of loading some music on the card I tried it in my 08 CRV. No problems - it loaded instantly, was recognised and played perfectly. Many thanks to the above reviewers who gave the advice concerning the CRV; you are spot on and at these prices there is no worry.

Great Product But Does Not Fit Honda CRV Music System
I purchased this after scrouing internet for suitable adapter to fit Honda CRV, Honda do not supply adapter, nor are they able to say which make of adapter will fit. I read on a CRV forum that someone had had success with this adapter, but it does not fit our 2009 CRV music system, it is slightly too long by a few millimeters, but as far as the product is concerned there is nothing wrong with it, I am only giving 3 star to bring this to the attention of any other CRV owners hoping this will be the answere, unfortunately it does not fit and I have given up looking for an adapter that will fit. Apart from this I see no reason why this product in its own right should not be awared 5 stars

Works fine in my Dell D620 laptop and my Honda CR-V
I bought this adaptor together with a Transcend 8GB 133x Ultra Speed Compact Flash card to use with my 2007 Honda CR-V music player. I had heard that the Honda system could be a bit picky about what cards it would work with so did a little research on the internet before buying this combination of adaptor and card. It works like a charm :) Now have access to loads of music in the car without messing about with CD's. So much more convenient. The card and adapter worked with no problems on my laptop to transfer the mp3 files and then slotted right in to the car music player. Very happy.

Brilliant
Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin. Insert in to Laptop, Insert CF card, off you go! For absolute perfection it would be nice if it had a little sprung door on it to stop dust getting in when empty. Also it would be nice if it had an eject button similar to the PCMCIA port - you have to pull out the whole unit to remove your CF card. That's asking a lot for the price but stops me giving it a perfect score.

Ideal for Honda cr-v
Bought this for my 09 Uk Honda cr-v ex dti, does the job perfectly, also bought an 8gb transcend cf card that works great. There may be a limit to the number of (song) files that the cr-v can read from a single card so using 8gb cards or bigger may not be worth it. If I figure this out I'll post back. So great not to have to burn CDs anymore, they never lasted more than a few months before they'd skip and eventually be unplayable

Transcend Card Adapter
This product arrived very quickly and I was able to use it in my Honda Hybrid Adapter straight forward. The car audio system picked the card as soon it was slotted in with a CF card.I have used a 4mb to 8gb CF card and the audio system has worked PERFECTLY. Thanks again and I will recommend it to anybody and I will make further purchase in the future. Transcend - Card adapter ( CF I ) - PC Card

I recently purchased a 2008 Honda CRV. The sound system has a slot for a PCMCIA adapter so you can add music to your system via a CompactFlash Memory Card. I had never even heard of all that before. Now it appears as though that PCMCIA technology is somewhat outdated. That being said, I could not find a PCMCIA adapter in any stores I went to. I read numerous online forums and heard that a Transcend adapter with a CompactFlash Memory card would work. I purchased the Transcend PCMCIA ATA Adapter For CF Card along with a Transcend 4GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card and everything worked fine. If your reading this perhaps you are also looking for a PCMCIA adapter for a Honda. My only advise would be to be careful on how big of a memory card you get. 4GB works fine on my system however it a is a little (roughly 5 seconds)slower starting up (Navigation & Sound) when I turn on my vehicle. Once it's loaded I don't see any negative changes and everything works fine. You can find 32GB CompactFlash cards at any electronics store or online. I would assume that putting this much data into your Honda's system would significantly slow it down if not crash it. This is just my opinion and I have not tested that theory. I hope this helps. Overall the product worked as described and I did not have any problems using it with my Windows based computer or Honda vehicle. My only other advise for Honda owners is that if you plan on putting music on a CompactFlash card and then using the adapter in your vehicle make sure your computer has a slot for the PCMCIA adaptor, or slot for the CompactFlash Card, or an external memory card reader with a CompactFlash slot. (Quite a few steps to put my music in my CRV but well worth it in the end).
