I have pretty decent lashes I would like a bit more volume ...
I wish you could give half stars and I would probably give this product 3.5....I have never tried Younique . this is the first fiber lash mascara I've ever used. I have pretty decent lashes I would like a bit more volume though. The volume was what I was really looking for, because my lashes are pretty long already but I was surprised to see they were even a bit longer than usual. The Length is definitely there, I just wish this product gave a little more volume. Okay, so things that I do like: It does give a little extra length and volume. The color was dark and not that ashy black sometimes your regular mascara can dry to be if it gets a little clumpy. It wasn't too hard to remove. No scrubbing for hours to get it off.....Mine were still pretty natural looking and maybe even a little less clumpy and caked on then my regular mascara application (I enjoy the somewhat clumpy look and always layer mascaras)...My lashes didn't feel quite as stiff and brittle like regular mascara which also helped to hold the curl which is sometimes a problem for me with my top lashes.Things that I don't like: It is kind of irritating to your eyes. there was a bit of a feeling like when you wear old mascara and your eyes feel itchy. The little fuzzy fibers fall through out the day. I think I did a pretty good job applying the product, I watched youtube videos and read the instructions explicitly.....There was still some fall out over the day though, and flaking mascara is never a good look, though it was easy to wipe away. I do not like how it applied to my bottom lashes.....My bottom lashes are very curled and very thin, sparse in some areas, but I always make it work and I like having a lot of mascara on the bottom lashes as well....I feel like on the bottom I achieve better results with my regular mascara then this. My final con is that you can see the hair like fibers on your lashes more than I would like to be able to....I will continue to wear this on the top and if I feel I need to bump up my stars I will give an updated review after several more applications. This was just my first impression. I do like the product over all but I was a little disappointed it didn't give quite the drama I was hoping it would. Update: I have used this probably 4-5 times now and I feel like I have got the hang of it...I do like this mascara and I do get more volume then my first application and way less fallout since I know what I'm doing....I don't know that I would repurchase though because it's just too much work for me...it's quite a process to apply and also I feel like the gel drys out fast and their wasn't as much product in their as there should be ....but overall I think it's a pretty decent product and I stick by giving it 3.5 stars....I think this product is probably a miracle worker for people who have short stubby lashes but I think I have pretty decent lashes so for the amount of work I have to put in with this, I can't use it everyday. It's too time consuming for me...

Affordable, but not quality
I'm one of the people that has tried Younique 3D Fiber Mascara. So before I base this review on comparison, I'll just point out a few things on its own. This mascara is okay, the packaging is nice. When I first received this product I examined each tube. I first noticed the smell of the mascara, it smells extremely strong and odd. That was initially off putting. Its just potent for the nose. The fiber lash mascara wand is very clumpy, but that's to be expected when it comes to "fibers." I didn't notice a scent with that. Now the applying aspect was a little difficult, let me just note that I have sparse eyelashes to begin with. So I do have to do at least 2-3 layers of mascara before applying fibers. This mascara made that difficult because the product in the mascara they use is very thin and doesn't "catch" with the eyelashes, and I think partly it has a lot to do with the type of wand they use for the mascara application. Now in comparison with younique, the price is a little easier to handle. But I think (even though I didn't really like youniques 3D Fiber Mascara) youniques' mascara is a lot better than this. During the day I catch fibers landing on my under eyes frequently. I tend to get them in my eyes as well, which is very irritating. They're very difficult to get out. I don't have sensitive eyes, but when removing this product with makeup remover at the end of the day, my eyes become inflamed and irritated. I won't be using it again after giving it a try for a week, but overall it was decent if you're looking for a more affordable fiber lash mascara. I believe the ingredients in the mascara was simply too harsh for me. I'm a little disappointed.

Update to Original Post
Update: First of all, let me say these people are TRUE professionals and they do really care about what their customers think / feel. After my first post, they (Kathie) contacted me not ONLY offering a FULL REFUND AND AN APOLOGY, she also offered to send me another kit with a new updated formula that should drastically REDUCE the fibers flaking issue. OMG!!!!!!! Not only did it REDUCED it, I didn't have ANY problems at all with the fibers flaking!!! See below my email to the company.I am going to give it 2 stars for now. I love the results, but I am sitting here at work looking like I done smoked up a entire batch of marijuana because of my eye irritation. Like I am so embarrassed about how red my eyes are, that if I could, I would go home. I can feel the scratchiness in my eyes and although not painful or anything. It is very, very uncomfortable. With that said, I will give this ONE more try, but this eye irritation is the worst. Is that scratchy feeling right before you get pink eye, in which I hope I am not getting because there is something called chemical pink eye in which you can get pink eye from chemical irritation. I got it once from my first and last time getting lashes done by Amazing Lash studio. Ugh this is the worst feeling ever.

This product is okay. I've used Younique in the past and I might prefer it a little more over this one. The mascara after a few coats is already really black and gives you a pop right away which is nice. The tube itself is a little bulky in your hands and when I apply this, I find that it's easier to hold both in your hands but with the mascara being bulkier it's tricky to do that. The fibers can be tricky to manage also. It clumps onto the wand quite a bit so I end up having to play around with it before actually applying it. I'm sure with practice it will be easier. The results are nice but it definitely takes practice and time. I like the thickness and length it gives once i'm all done. I'll finish using this product but will probably go back to using Younique.Updated review: 10-26-17I’m officially tossing this product away. It was solid for the first month but after that the mascara began to dry out making it pointless to use. Won’t buy again or recommend.
