is this same as spray on shine, can't see anyone wanting to pour this out of 5l jar onto car, 1. its heavy and 2. you use far too much,

No pour on shine is a stupid title. You have to get yourself a spray which comes with the cheaper size. I can recommend this stuff.first wash the car and before you rinse it spray it with demon shine and rinse it off. You will be amazed at the result.

How long does the shine last and does is make cleaning the next time easier?

Is works well!! I would say about a week! I use demon foam first wash then spray polish squeegee and microfiber cloth dry, then hard wax polish finish Over the top! So yeah it’s a great finish and to also helps as a base to apply any other products easily!! Would recommend that you get the 2lt bottle that comes with the spray adapter!!

No don't put into soapy water. The best way to apply is to a trigger spray bottle, pour into undiluted. Ensure the soap is rinsed off and spray over the car while it is wet,then rinse with clear waterand let to dry. If you have a pressure washer apply with detergent spray and rinse.
