I carry a box cutter with me most days for work. This has given me just about a perfect tool. Small enough to fit in my 5th pocket of my pants, the Philips head works better than expected when needed in a pinch, and the blade switched out easily. I had the smaller version prior, and while that was even less obstructive in my pocket it wasn’t big enough to get a down grip for thicker items that needed to be cut and the blade was difficult to change. The only downside is that the thumb stub slightly gets caught on my pocket.

Really good utility knife. Has plenty of blade edge exposed for most common tasks.

This is a good solid little knife. It was a little stiff at first but oil and time have made it easier to open with the thumb stud. The blade could be held in place a bit more firmly; it can move from side to side about 1/32 of an inch when it's open. It's not enough to be a safety issue, just not as precise as a typical pocket folder.

Having used multiple utility knives over the years, I'm very impressed with this version. Please refer to photos for help understanding some of the points in this review. This knife is small when folded (3 1/4") and has a nylon/polymer 'cover' on one side of the knife and a belt clip on the other side for keeping it handy, clipped to the inside of your pocket so you don't have to dig into your pants!!! The blade also locks in place and is released by pushing the lock 'bar' outwards. (the lock bar is actually part of the side casing of the knife) The knife includes knobs/buttons on each side of the blade holder which allows you to flip open the blade one handed. There is also a line cutter, slotted and phillips screwdiver heads and a bottle opener that can be accessed if you remove the blade. And speaking of blade removal...it is REALLY simple to slide the blade out and in using a small spring loaded button just above the blade. (you will note that I number my blades with a marker which tells me if I'm using the 'first' half of the blade and that the 'back half' of the blade is still sharp, or if I'm now using the 'second' part of the blade and that I'll need a new replacement blade once blade #2 is dull) So again, I'm very impressed with this knife and it's been a constant companion when I'm working around the house or in the yard. My EDC is still a slim "Swiss Army Knife" that is just slightly longer than this utility knife but it is much thinner -- but that's for different usage. Highly recommend this utility knife!!!
