High quality and a perfect fit for my 2002 Mercedes SL500. I’d recently bought a Mercedes oil filter assembly (I was concerned that the plastic on the original was going the way of all old plastic) and it came with a Mercedes branded filter. It was identical to this Mann filter with the ONLY exception being the Mercedes branding embossed on the filter. I also had a filter made by another reputable manufacturer, Hengst; the difference between them was day and night. The Mann/Mercedes filter is much more substantial and robust. It is heavier and is reinforced around the (sturdier) paper filter material…a value added feature lacking in the Hengst filter. I don’t know how much of a price difference there is between the two but it can’t be much…the Hengst filter may even cost more, you never know until you look it up BUT I digress…if you want to use the best filter available in your car this IS the one. If it’s good enough for a stickler brand like Mercedes (they ARE the OEM) it’s good enough for me, and should be good enough for you as well.
