Bought this book as I am a big hip hop fan and a fan of autobiographies and learning the meaning behind songs. This book blends all three in a really succinct and fun way. The stories are sometimes enlightening, sometimes funny but always informative. I have learned loads about some of my favourite artists I didn't know about before! The artwork in this book is also great and the layout on the pages is so well thought out. Honesty, couldn't improve on this book! You can read this book in one go or pick it up periodically and still enjoy it because of the way it is organised. This would make a great Christmas or Birthday present for a loved one who is a fan of the genre, or a fan of music! Probably the best purchase of 2019 for me!!

Great book with a lot of humour, personal stories, guest entries and engaging graphics. Bought for my boyfriend - who loved it! - and ended up reading a fair bit myself, due to the engaging style. It is not a light book either - well-researched and covers more genres than hip hop and overall music history.

Seems good. My brother actually started reading it- thats saying something.

Informative and very funny, with some great artwork. My favourite hip hop related book bar none. If you are reading the reviews because you are considering buying the book you must already be interested in the subject matter, so all I can say is buy it and you won't be disappointed.

Entertaining analysis of the biggest hits in rap history. This book is not only impressive in its detail, but thanks to Serrano's conversational style its is also genuinely funny. The illustrations take the whole thing to another level. Highly recommend to all Hip-Hop fans.
