Review: A boon for my R.A. pain relief - A boon for R.A. pain relief - at least for me (you would need to try for yourself as your body may react differently to heat, wax, etc). Product arrived well packaged, on time and in good condition. Though it may have a plastic case, it still does the job and although I would have preferred a nice CNC'd Aluminium alloy body with quality dial and better looks and a more convenient shape for storing it, this will help to relieve my pain and was worth saving for. Review: I hate to be negative - I hate to be negative, but I sent this back untried. The working temperature for a paraffin wax bath, according to my local hospital, is 50C, but the lowest temperature setting on the device is, according to the manual, 65C. It then tells you, having waited 2 hours for it to warm up, to switch it off and wait another half an hour or so until the temperture falls to 50C - but there is no way to maintain that temperature or to test that it has been reached. It was also supplied with a European plug, which is not permissible under the UK code. When I asked the suppliers for help, they simply told me that I could order the UK plug version at another location on the web site. They did not address the temperature issue. As it stands, this is not fit for purpose, which is a pity, as it is well presented.

Not able to plug wax bath in due to eueopean/USA plug. Having tracked down an adapter this product I’d. TOO HOT EVEN ON LOW
Arrived this morning Unable to use it as it has a European or USA two prong plug It does not mention this in the description This is going to cause problems with where to situate it IF we can track down the correct adapter My therabath from many years ago had a UK plug already fitted
