Update (2/6/2024) - I finally managed to have the firmware installed just over 3 weeks ago. Since then there is no connection issue at all for the USB-C Hub. So as long as you get the latest firmware this Hub is no doubt the best for your M1/3 iMac. I now update the rating to 5 stars. Update: I updated the review to 4 stars. I was sent with a firmware file to update the Hub which may resolve the disconnection issue. Unfortunately I don’t have a Windows PC to do the firmware upgrade. However I envisage that the Hub would work just fine after the upgrade. Also I have a Mac Mini Hub from the same company and the SSD drive has been working perfectly without any disconnection issue for a good 2 months. (26/3/2024) I bought this hub because of its beauty look matching the iMac and the ability of adding a SSD drive. There is no doubt this hub is a really lovely coloured and integrated into the iMac like they are one piece. However the SSD drive is useless. I have had this hub and SSD installed for 4 months. It started to fail working and required re"initialise" after about a month. All the music I uploaded there were gone. I reinitialised" the drive and used it as Time Machine. It worked for about a couple of months. Then it failed again. After that I had to re-initiased the drive 3 days in a roll. Now I took the SSD drive out and put it into an external drive case and reconnected to the iMac. It works perfectly so far. All in all, this USB Hub for iMac is a well designed product but without the workable SSD drive, it doesn't worth paying almost £100. I'm sorry but I can't recommend it.

Seems like a great product. Fits seamlessly to the base plate and the colours match very well to the colour of the computer. Offers a variety of USB Ports and also the potential to increase the memory. Easy to use and is effectively a plug and play. Value for money in my opinion.

This is a great hub. It expands the storage as well as the I/O of your iMac and the hub itself even adds more stability to the base of the iMac with it’s fit, weight and rubber feet. After reading other reviews I was wary as a lot of people were talking about having to contact the manufacturer to update the firmware of the hub. The manual that comes with the hub has all the details on this process including QR codes that link to the firmware upgrade. The process was quick and easy and was the first thing I did before anything else to avoid any problems. I then installed a 2TB NVMe SSD. I went with the Crucial P3 and it works flawlessly. After you install the SSD, put the included thermal pad on the SSD before you screw the cover back on so the cover doesn’t make contact with the SSD. I’m very happy with this product, although I was disappointed to find out that it only costs £55 on the Minisopuru website compared to the sale price of £80 I paid on Amazon.

I am running a business with multiple printers and accessories that use older usb cables. I bought the latest imac and suddenly realised i’m not going to be able to connect any of my devices. The new imac only has USB Type C connections and this dock integrates like a factory piece of apple equipment. The finish matches perfectly and it is a really clean and tidy design to a problem a lot of people will have. It solves the problem perfectly and you can even put a HDD inside the dock for more storage on your imac. 10/10.

Clever design and a perfect colour match for my green iMac 24 inch M1. Nicely packaged very apple like, easy assembly. Nice to have a good selection of accessible ports without turning the Mac around. Nothing to dislike at all.

The hub is beautiful. Perfect match with the iMac. And even when it says it’s limited to 2tb ssd, it accepted a 4tb one without any problem. There’s in fact not a single technical reason preventing it for seeing a 4tb ssd, and I suspect that larger ones as well. The speed aren’t stellar but the expected for the controller, more than enough for storing media data. Totally recommend.

Great product and support. I ordered this two years ago and have only just had issues. For the last two years it has been great, allowed me to use all the ports I needed that apple dont put on their imacs and I never had issues with it disconnecting or not recognising them. I recently had issues with an error popping up about a USB error so I emailed their customer services and they got back to me quickly with troubleshooting options and about getting a replacement. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a way to use the ports in their imac better.

This port enables you to “upgrade “ the storage capacity of your iMac by adding a SSD external drive of your choice inside the hub. The hub also has an SD card reader and three usb 2 ports allowing you to connect legacy devices. The hub itself connects to the iMac using one of the lightning ports. The colour is also a perfect match for my iMac and you wouldn’t know that it wasn’t an original part. I now have an additional 2TB of storage at a fraction of the price that Apple would have wanted and I use it for all my photos and other large files. Saves paying for cloud storage.

Apple a tellement revu à la baisse les taux de transfer avec ses SSD qu’il vaut mieux partir sur le plus petit d’entre eux (250go) privilégier la RAM (non upgradable) de 24go et mettre un Samsung 2to dans ce boîtier. La rapidité des copies de fichiers est bluffante. Dans ces conditions l’iMac 24 M3 devient une bête de course. Sauf que les déconnexions sont permanentes malgré les tutos en ligne du fabricant pour les éviter... Donc, ce qui aurait pu être noté 5 étoiles est dans la pratique très problématique... Je ne change pas le commentaire sur le fond, les problèmes de déconnexion perdurent. Mais le SAV du fabricant est exemplaire, c'est rare et cela mérite un cinq étoiles
