Given that Amazon have directed the question to me, I assume that your enquiry relates to the same mouse as I purchased. This being the case then I can advise that my mouse is corded, with a USB connector and no batteries, that I am aware of. Hope this helps.

It is not supplied in the shiny retail packaging, but in the unmarked brown box made from recycled cardboard Does not affect the product, just the box will not look good as a present.
