These tuners are surprisingly good value for money considering the low price.

Wanted these for a lightweight, vaguely Jazzmaster ripoff guitar I am building. Body is very light so I was hoping for lightweight tuners to help counter neck dive and these are they. I have other vintage Kluson copy tuner sets to compare these with and these are lightest. Stamped housing metal is a bit thinner than normal and the buttons, as someone else here noticed, are plastic. A decent chromoplastic with smooth 'chrome' finish so not offensive. Action was a bit rough to start with but that was helped with generous teflon bike oil in the holes, the button stalk openings and where the posts come out. Operation is suddenly much smoother but not fully progressive. On the other hand, no real dead spots and gaps in the turning action. So not bad for the money.

Bought this product for a vintage strat build and was very disappointed. Doesn't fit at all and not the right size for any guitar headstock there is.

Do what they are for well. Why pay a lot more for a name on them

As I only wanted a cheap set of tuners for an old 'beater' strat copy which I've had for many years, and which has more sentimental value than actual value, I thought that these tuners might be OK. Yes, they look the part (at least superficially), and they are the correct size (screw hole positions match the originals), but there is one main problem: the center hole in the end of the tuning pegs is neither central, or deep enough. In fact, the hole is only about 3mm (1/8") deep, and will have to be drilled much deeper if I want to use them on the guitar. Also note that the new bushings are smaller than the originals, and will have to be wrapped with copper screening tape to make them fit.

cheep and cheerful as expected . please do not regard these as an upgrade . you will be sorely disappointed.

Used on a vintage lawsuit era strat. Installed quick, fit properly and tuning is stable. An inexpensive solution…👍🏻
