Bought these for my caravan floor due to it delaminating. The pack dowels were too short and these were perfect. Can't fault the product at all.

Some people think my reviews are wooden, in this case more wooden than usual. These dowels are perfect for assisting the joining of two pieces of wood together when making wooden items. I purchased these and some 10 mm diameter dowels to use to build a garden gate from decking panels glued together with dowels and then attached to a frame work of battens. After drilling corresponding holes in each piece using a dedicated doweling kit these were glued in place using PVA adhesives and then the whole 10 panels were held by sash clamps to keep the doweled pieces tight together whilst the glue dried. The finished job is currently hanging at the back of my house as my garden gate. Although hidden from sight these dowels are none the less an important part of a number of joinery projects offering both strength and accurate positioning of pieces and best of all they cost so little. Dowels are available in various sizes, I have purchased and used both the 8 mm and 10 mm size dowels from Wolfcraft in the construction of my garden gate.

I have a small table with plastic pole joiners. It’s ikea and a funny size so an off the shelf replacement wasn’t available. As the pole joiner was hollow simply glueing wasn’t going to cut it. I’d snapped 2 out of 4 joiners and the table often gets used for hot tea so not one to experiment with. 🔥 Buying dowels was a last ditch. These are ribbed along the length so will compact a little. It was super simple to hammer in to the plastic joiner. A smudge of gorilla 🦍 glue and all was good (probably stronger now) than new. So a bunch of dowels has helped me save this table from the scrap heap. Super happy.

The dowels look OK but I'm not a master carpenter, but as long as they do the job it will be good enough for the kind of woodwork that I do to be honest, and I'm all for giving them a try. It's all about correct drilling and gluing and using the right dowel for the job. I was happy about the packaging and delivery, no moans.

I have taken a break from my domino, pocket holes and biscuit joints. And wanted to try dowels! These are good quality, nice fit and sizing is accurate. Always like Wolfcraft stuff and this is no exception. Recommended!

Wow.. these are not any old dowels, their amazing. Super product and plugged up my botch job superbly. Super strength and easy to use. Every dowel should be this great…..and there’s loads in the pack for any other odd jobs around the house.

Premessa: cinque stelle per me sono sinonimo di un ottimo prodotto in rapporto soprattutto al prezzo di acquisto, in offerta su Amazon a 3,80 € (Novembre 2019). Certamente non significa che questi siano i migliori tasselli per spinatura al mondo, ma in rapporto al prezzo ed alla qualità non ho trovato di meglio! Sono un appassionato del fai da te avanzato e nel tempo libero mi piace dedicarmi spesso a questo hobby. La spinatura è un sistema estremamente semplice e largamente utilizzata per collegare due parti di legno senza dover ricorrere agli incastri. Si tratta di utilizzare questi particolari cilindretti di legno duro, denominati “spine” o “tasselli” che si inseriscono nei fori praticati sui componenti da collegare e perfettamente coincidenti. la fase del lavoro che necessita di cura e precisione è appunto quella di far combaciare alla perfezione i fori nei due pezzi. Per ovviare a questa difficoltà si utilizzano particolari accessori, guide per spinatura, che consentono di ottenere precisi accoppiamenti sui pezzi da unire. Le spine sono ben fatte la misura calza alla perfezione senza ballarci dentro, bisogna forzare l’accesso con qualche colpetto, anche la zigrinatura è precisa, permette alla colla di entrare bene nelle fessure in modo da consentire un solido legame con il legno. Le misure del diametro variano sono da 6, 8 e 10 mm, io generalmente utilizzo sempre quelle da 8x40mm su tavole di pino o abete di 2 cm di spessore. Negli anni ho usato un sacco di tasselli e posso sicuramente affermare che questi sono tra i migliori disponibili per quanto mi riguarda. In sostanza se vi servono delle spine per legno di buona qualità queste sono abbastanza ottime, il prezzo è molto conveniente quindi compratele senza pensarci sopra. Per quanto riguarda l’affidabilità la durata posso dire che per errore avevo fissato due nel posto sbagliato e non sono riuscito a toglierli, ho dovuto tagliarli e rifare il foro, comunque la marca è un sinonimo di qualità e per ora non ho riscontrato nessun problema. Amazon 10 e lode con Prime la spedizione è arrivata in 24 ore, ancora una volta ha dimostrato grande serietà. Grazie per aver letto la mia recensione, spero sia stata interessante e soprattutto utile prima dell’acquisto. N.B. Per la spinatura del legno fai da te ho costruito una guida di foratura, semplice ma affidabile e durevole (vedi ultima foto). Ho saldato dei pezzi di ferro fino a raggiungere lo stesso spessore di quello da forare, generalmente tavole di 2 cm, da unire con la spinatura. Due stecche più sottili, applicate sui fianchi, in modo da consentire un corretto serraggio della guida tramite stringenti o morsetti durante la fase di foratura. Poi, inserendo i cappellotti marcatori all’interno dei fori, si segnano i punti da forare sul secondo pezzo e si procede con la foratura di quest’ultimo. O più semplicemente, se non si ha la disponibilità dei cappellotti, basta tracciare a matita una linea verticale su entrambi i pezzi da forare e farla coincidere centralmente con la guida!
