Very good quality and the finished result was pleasing. For the most part, the sections came out easily enough. There were some of the little holes that needed some work to remove the plugs, so have something handy to remove these if you make the kit. You can use woodglue to join together, but I didn't and the resulting joins were strong enough when the castle was finished. Most of the parts went together well, but I did need to use a file to get a good fit on a few of the parts-mainly the walkway at the front of the castle. There is an instruction tips site to log onto. I didn't use this as I make models and felt I could do it without - although there were some head scratching moments when I had to sort out what to do next, so if you haven't made things before, I'd recommend the online help. Overall, a very good, pleasing kit and the end result is well worth all the effort

I took a bit of a punt on this model, but was very pleased with it. I have made lots of MDF buildings for wargaming and the price of the Quay Knight Castle was very good in comparison. I got useful feedback from other purchasers regarding scale (I have place a 28mm Warhammer Ork in photo to give an idea of scale). The model took about 1.5 hours to put together (I used Uhu glue rather than PVA, as it dries quicker). There were no instructions included and the link on the cover sheet didn't help, but it was fairly easy to work out. I painted the castle with grey spray paint (much better than brushing, as the brick pattern isn't lost), added a few extra bits (tooth picks and lanterns) from my scrap box and am really pleased with the results. This is a great value model, which can be easily enhanced to be a really good piece of wargaming terrain.

Very easy to put together

I bought this product for my son's school project. My father and my son set it up all together it took them 4 hours. they said at first they struggled because the instructions are very poor as you only have a misleading picture to guide you however they still managed to build it. they managed to put it up fairly easily as always with these things some pieces don't always fit but you just have to be prepared for that and pieces don't always fit like the picture does. despite some of the difficulties the finished piece is impressive and is perfect for its purpose. for the price worth buying. Brilliant item. Struggled on with the paper instructions provided (which aren't up to much - but I was enjoying the challenge) before I finally noticed (once I was halfway) there was an online step by step guide!! I'd recommend the online step by step guide!! Good fun putting it together and now my four year old son is obsessed with it! We have to play castle for hours everyday. One of my better buys and highly recommended. Also arrived within days even though we're in France and ordered it from the UK. Great service too.

NIGHTMARE product ! Quite strong but very difficult to pop out the tiny parts & attempt assembly! Gave up before even reaching a quarter of the way through ! Definitely wouldn’t recommend !

Beautiful castle ,not too difficult to assemble, my son managed to do it with a little help .

We would have preferred to have instructions with the product instead of having to find and follow them on line but once we found them the product was actually pretty straight forward to put together. My 7 year old really enjoyed making it and it passed a fun couple of hours whilst quarantined. The knights fall apart very easily(arms and legs fall off) but with a little glue they are fine. Delivery was quick and the castle is still holding together well even after lots of play.
